I took the afternoon off work today to spend some time with my family, after the strain of the past month. We went to the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum at NUS. It was my first time there. I have to say that I loved the place. It totally succeeded in fusing education with fun. The many specimens of rare animals and fossils were truly fascinating. My favourite part was the animated map analysing the nature and age of different types of rock in various parts of Singapore. Enjoying some ice cream outside the museum shop, I had the privilege of bumping into two of our volunteers in Aljunied and East Coast. Young Singaporeans like these two make me so proud. Here’s to you guys!
This Saturday, I will be running the mid-autumn celebration at Kaki Bukit division with fellow volunteers. As usual, it will be a simple but meaningful event to bring the community together. Looking forward to seeing the usual faces and getting to know more residents! If you are interested to help out, just drop me a message.
Happy to have met and renewed acquaintances with many residents and friends at Eunos' Mid Autumn Festival last night. Many came with words of support and encouragement. Grateful for the participation of some of our Malay and Indian residents as well. Looking forward to work with everyone, regardless of political stripe, to create greater value in our community and to build stronger bonds within the Eunos community for the next five years
