Serangoon Division held a rice and milk distribution event on 23 March 2014 at Serangoon North. This is the 5th in the series of mass rice distribution in Serangoon Division since the year 2012. In between the various mass rice distribution events, there were also regular distributions of rice and groceries to needy and lower-income families.
Volunteers and some residents started early in the morning to pack the rice from 10kg and 25kg bags, into smaller packs. We would like to thank the residents for their orderly queue, which helped to make this a pleasant and successful event. We also thank our donors for their rice and milk donation, without which this event would not have been possible.
