First MPS of the year last night and unexpectedly received a rather large number of chocolates thanks to presents and gifts from other residents who came by to say thank you for a successful appeal. Many thanks to civil servants and government officials for relooking and reassessing their cases. What do my community volunteers do? They proceed to distribute the chocolates to other residents! Solid bunch. But the highlight of night was a Malay man who brought his 90-year old Eurasian pensioner neighbour (who doesn't get along well with his son) down to the MPS site to seek assistance. The very act of the Malay man warmed my heart immensely. Majulah Singapura!
