Its a fishing pond.. You can just walk in and have a look at people fishing there.. of course for the anglers, they need to pay to fish there.. Ample parking spaces there.. But weekends, a bit difficult as there are many anglers trying their luck at that fishing pond.. Best is to come during the night.. Not much cars during that time..

But if you're not into fishing then you can just buy some drinks at the counter and sit down there or take a walk around the 2 ponds..

Zoo, bird park, garden by the bay, etc cannot survive with just tourist dollars. Locals are needed but they are priced out due to greed and misuse of public fund to build all these facilities in the first place. However, many of these white hippophants are slowly becoming embarrassments hence they will quietly be released as free of charge learning places for locals. Museums are excellent examples of these failed greedy pap schemes against people. Just avoid places where they overcharge and we will eventually have the last laugh.

You don't make sense. If locals are priced out, then demand will be low and these establishments will have a hard time turning a profit.

The bulk of their revenue comes from local visitors. If other locals can afford to visit them, why can't you?

Not too sure about that. Locals won't visit the zoo or the bird park every week, but there's bound to be batches of new tourists visiting those places every week, in fact every day.

Got to squeeze the animals dry mah. In sinkieland where got free lunch? The piece of land used for zoo is very expensive, in the tens of billions worth if used for building condos.

Given the rate of property price inflation, it will be matter of time the zoo will start a new program to mate with the animals, for guys and gals who are into bestiality acts. Pay $150 can do a lioness from the rear, and pay $30 can get a lion to screw you from behind.

I remembered it was a card type of thingy....flash the card admits 4-6 pax.
I think the chap was the HR manger or something....told me his company staff ballot for these cards to bring their family members to the zoo....remembered his kids were sick of the zoo.
I did not take up his offer as I am not a cheapo...apparently many companies staff abuse this benefit.

Sorry bro. Probably the cmpy is sponsoring the range of SGD200-250k yearly for the free entrance. Now new regulations is that those staff who get the chance to use the pass that day have to show their staff pass before admission, guest no need show.

I know that cos our cmpy had been sponsoring for years. Now have stop the sponsorship program to cut cost.
