Virgin do Udon Thani. Only 55mins by Thai Smiles. Refreshing change of scene from chaotic (and smog) krungthep. Laid back, clean and prices generally cheaper than Bkk. Hear from crony that UD gals are chio

Wah nice hotel. Never been to Udon but came close a couple years ago. Already had airtickets, booked Top Mansion for a few nights, hotel reservations in Vientiane a night etc. all planned out.
Had to pull out last minute because some $&@@#% chick changed her mind. Regret I was so pussy-whipped then.

Last night patronised 1 nice small live music club 20Up. Suai and chio PRs, pity I can't roll back the years
Was there for 1 hour, chio PR's standard 1st drinks. bt500. 3 big bottles Singha, treated club guy + khao kiap (thai version fries bill total bt1000. Probably a fraction of what you'd pay at Bangers.
Else, nothing to show for my short outing here. Btw, the return airfare by Thai Smiles only cost bt1900 (weekdays).

Only place happening in Udon Thani is around the Central Mall area. The night shopping around the railway station also quite good. Enjoy! If you have time, drive down to the Talay Bua Deng or red lotus lake and experience a lake full of beautiful red lotus flowers in bloom. Happening from now till March.
Yo, khun dredd. Everything in city revolves around Central Plaza. Red lotus place is quite something. I passed visiting the famous wats here (being the free sinner I am)

Bangkok price same same. I was recently at a pub@Saphan Kwai. No special drink price for PR but you pay per block of time for them to sit and drink. Big beer something like 150 or 180B? Not expensive.
