Bangcock smog so bad ah?
Sunrise at Lake Toya, just took these 5mins ago
I have never experienced this type of extreme temperature before (at most -2 degC). Went to a festival at around 8.30pm temperature was -12degC and now is -16degC.
Room is also very cold I think like 18degC still pretty cold for me. Better go crawl under my futon.
Ouch! That's crazy cold.
I've never ever gotten used to the cold but it's not nearly as bad (still very bad though): most people don't spend that much time outdoors when it gets this cold and if they do, when you dress in appropriate layers, you don't really feel it except for your nose/face.
And even when outdoors for a prolonged period, you only feel it when you are relatively inactive e.g. watching a football game. When I ski or snowboard or run, I need only a baselayer and a windproof shell, otherwise I overheat. If I'm just sitting there, then I need heavier insulation.
A 42C+ onsen dip also helps. For me, not more than 20-30 minutes soak or else I start to sweat.
Lucky that you most likely packed a warm body (or 2)
