A taxi driver in Bangkok found $60,000 US dollar notes (around $77,330 SGD) under the back seat of his car and promptly returned it to police on Nov 5.

According to Coconuts Bangkok, it had belonged to three Indonesian tourists.

Sak Chaipong, the cab driver, said he picked up the three Indonesian tourists from Suvarnabhumi Airport and drove them to their hotel in Bang Rak district before receiving a call from the airport that his passengers were looking for a forgotten black bag in his car.

Sak then searched for the bag, and found that it contained the wads of cash, which was an equivalent of THB2 million.

He immediately handed over to police.

In return for his honesty, the tourists offered him THB5,000 cash (S$152), Morning News reported.

Many netizens have praised the cabby for his honesty, saying that he could easily have used it to feed his family.

With respect, I believe that the tourists were rather stingy, with their THB5,000 cash gift or reward.
Perhaps, US$1,000 or at least THB20,000 is more appropriate.

A cheeky slice of thai mango :p

A 22-year-old Venezuelan was crowned “Miss International Queen” on Friday night at a beauty contest that bills itself as the world's largest pageant for transsexuals and transvestites.

UNANIMOUS DECISION: Isabella Santiago, centre, beat 21 contestants from 18 countries to win the ‘Miss International Queen’ title and 440,000 baht in prize money.
Isabella Santiago beat 21 contestants from 18 countries to win the title and 440,000 baht in prize money at a glittering event in the resort town of Pattaya. She is also eligible for free cosmetic surgery, among other gifts from sponsors.

Thai contestant Nitsa Katrahong was named first runner-up and received 150,000 baht, while Lao contestant and second runner-up Piyada Inthavong took home 95,000 baht. When asked what she planned to do after her win, Ms Santiago, who wore a shimmery white evening gown, laughed and said “sleep”.

“When on stage, she is so elegant and that's why the judges' decision was unanimous,” said media personality and academic Seri Wongmontha, one of the pageant's judges.

The 10th annual contest was held at Tiffany's nightclub, which is famous for its transgender cabaret shows. Pageant applicants must be male-born transvestites or pre- or post-operative transsexuals.

Like other beauty pageants, contestants for “Miss International Queen” paraded in national costume, evening gowns and swimsuits.
Miss USA Samira Sitara said participating in the contest was a “dream come true”. She said the pageant was the first time she was coming out publicly after being encouraged by friends.

“You know what, this is life and you can't run away from the past. I can't hide it anymore,” she said.

Walking along Adriatico Street to look for food. Came into a traditional Filipino restaurant Bistro Remedios.

For Filipino food one will not miss two dishes - Chicken and Pork Adobo, chicken and pork chunk braised in soya sauce and venigar

and Bicol Express, mixed vege sauté with coconut milk. Vege normally consist of long beans, bitter gourd, lady finger, chili, onions, brinjal

The above two are great with traditional garlic rice

Today more adventurous so ordered something unknown to me Relleno Bangus - milkfish stuffed with its own meat and minced pork, carrot and reisin

With a nice bottle of Maipo's carmenere

and Dahil Sa'yo

what more will a man ask?

There's way too much food porn over here.

Joetys should be gazetted by MDA.

Was surprised to find Singapore Airlines had finally moved to the newer Terminal 3 of Ninoy Aquino International Airport. This is much nicer that the old airport terminal.

When departing went to the shared lounge, nothing great in fact looks like a makeshift setup with awful partitioning.

I remember that only passengers are allowed into the airport because it wasn't very big. Do they still manually pat you down to check for weapons:D
