A Singaporean's guide to living in Thailand

hi Froggy dearie...how are u?....your food looks delicious...

Fine thank you, and you?

The food I really like and had this evening are these I had in Xin Yuan Ji - opposite Bugis at 31 Tan Qwee Lan St

Not forgetting two bottles of this

Found this in SQ's lounge in Suvarnabhumbi Airport yesterday afternoon

Chicken Rice - tried a little for taste, pretty ok but black sauce is those sweet sauce so not good enough

Enjoying local breakfast at Tiong Bahru Market now

My lormee

Jweekuay

wifey always like bahchormee

Look at the deep fried flatfish and lard with lots of chili and vinegar really shiok

One of my favorite restaurants in Singapore is East Ocean Teochew Restaurant in Ngee Ann City

Favourite dish is of course their cold flower crab

It's a big fish anyway so just 3 dishes is enough

First time I tried butter crab (at Long Beach Dempsey) not bad always wonder how they cook such big crabs so evenly cooked.

Still I prefer the black pepper crab which is more tasty. Eaten black pepper crab at many places in Singapore but this is still the best. In Thailand its known as "bu-prick-thai-daam" literally crab pepper black - don't waste time with this dish in Thailand never have a good one before.

Drunken prawns - the soup with chinese herbs is really nice again another dish not available in Thailand

brother [joetys],

I envy you, savouring a variety of cuisine and delicious food, as well as fine wine, almost daily.

Keep it up.

Wish you a Blessed Merry Christmas, and a Healthy New Year.

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, with such breakfast I cannot disagree

Ah Seng BKT opposite Bugis Junction

The peanut and the chilly looks nice.

To tonychat: The chai buay also not bad. ;)

To joetys: The ter kwa (liver) is very bad for gout. Too much meat also not so good, but ter kwa is very bad. :(
