Your pictorial on the deep-fried crickets made me laugh. Why? One of the first times I went north, I noticed my ex's mom putting out many plastic buckets with nets in the yard. These contraptions look like a mosquito net tent with the bucket in the middle, a fluorescent bulb in the middle. Strange I thought. What could they be for?

I worked harvesting rice one time. Developed a rash all over my legs next day - those rice stalks can a cause a serious itch.

no problem. freshly harvested rice are usually sold to middlemen for export or dosmeic consumption. as the harvest season are almost the same thought out the country, the rice are held at warehouse in a first in first out system. meaning the oldest rice in storage will be sold first. for many harvest, there is a likelihood of over production but the middlemen will still take in the excess rice and release it at the right time. by doing this, the price of rice will be very stable and won't drop too much when there is over production.

the warehouse also protect against sharp price increase if the harvest is bad as the warehouse has stock of previous harvest. that will be very old rice.

yes, frangrance very distinct. best way to cook new rice is khao tom or porridgr. you can even eat it alone without any other dish.

Good morning! Greetings from Pat.

Woke up early today to pack some of my stuff to new shop. Can't believe there are so many things. :*:

Will still be staying in current apartment for at least another 2 weeks and one of my staff will come stay here until end of contract.

Expected to be very busy as old office also under going flooring renovations on second floor. Contractors will be coming to new shop to take measurements so need to shuttle between places.
