60 year old insurance agent old fart runs 10km daily, observes a strict diet and donates blood every 28 days

Yes bro .. as far as i know there are many old folks never run or jog also can live past 90 years old
Yes bro. All these dawn workouts for old farts is just a myth. Old fart just need to walk and move around to let the blood flow and keeping their muscles in use for maintenance .
The fact is whether they can live healthier or longer has nothing to do with those rigorous 10km jog or runs.
Sad to say my late dad used to do daily morning jog too even at old age but he didn't live passed 90 and passed away due to some heart related problem too.

He exercise so much for fuck sake? More important question is, can he still maintain his erection at this age?
I find your question very funny. Shouldn’t the main problem be whether he can still find women who are willing to fuck him?

Exhausted what was supposed to be your reserve tank.

I looked like Chuando when I was around 60. Now very slightly flabby around the waist, as I am pushing 80.

Looks are not important. What's important at such advance age would probably to be able to live to see another sunrise, & loved ones yet for another day.

No mortal lives forever, as cellular decays starts at the moment of birth on planet Earth's environment....the blood rejuvenates 24hrs, the lungs take 7 years to repair even under healthy conditions, & other parts of the Human organs takes decades....

While I applaud & salute Mr Lim Kim Koon for his healthy lifestyle & REGULAR blood donation, I would not want any 60yrs today to run 10km a day like him.

It's about mental & physical conditioning
. Mr Lim probably adopted such lifestyle decades ago, & thus at his age, he could run 10km a day easily, but for someone else at such advance age, it will be harmful WITHOUT conditioning.

Exercise is CRITICAL, to get blood circulating within the body, to send necessary nutrients to body organs. However, without preparation, the heart will be harmed if suddenly it needs to pump excessively.

Do allow me to share an experience. It was a company staff outing, BBQ at East Coast Park, just to chill, let loose & all to get to know one another to bond. All were having fun, but then an argument broke out between a young executive in his twenties & a manager in his forties who once served as infantry officer with gold IPPT awards during his service.

A friendly challenge was set at the footpath for 100m race, despite my misgivings, as I knew the manager that at such an age, with no more mental & physical conditioning, as he spends most of his time at work - 14hrs a day, & on weekends, with family visits, & had no time to exercise, would definitely loose...

By the 50m mark, I could see he was panting, seriously out of breath, & instead it was me who had to sprint to him to pull him away from the race, to sit down & calm down. Other staff members laffed initially, but when they saw how flustered he was, rushed over to help, but again, I had to tell them to give him space & air, to breathe.

Fortunately, his heart rate slowed down, & managed to down a can of beer, & admitted his defeat cheerfully.....

Ultimately, as exercise is critical to one's health, one must CONDITION the body & especially the heart to increases in its beat rates, slowly.

Start by brisk walks, & drink milk daily as our bones will need calcium, along with proper diet. Only when one is comfortable, with the heart beating nominally & the knees able to withstand the pounding pressure from feet, then slowly increase the distances or the amount one needs to work on the arms or spine...

wah, now I feel depressed after reading your post. Thanks for pointing out my days are seriously numbered and I should be glad each day to see another sunrise:cry:

Still, thank you for your suggestions for healthier living. And good to know you rescued and helped revive your 40+ years old manager. Now if you'll excuse me, I am going to drown the sorrow you caused me by downing a few shots of vodka.

Thank God I can still do the 100m sprint to catch an arriving bus without panting too much after that. I haven't gone for a run since my last IPPT . The only running I do is to chase after buses.

One important question: is he vaccinated? He donate blood frequently, a very important question this is.

Apheresis is not whole blood donation. It's something similar to dialysis, the blood is drawn, the platelets collected, then the blood is pumped back into the body.
