Maths and the principle of telecommunications are totally different subjects even both involves sine and cosine.
I always scored distinctions in math but barely can pass the principles of telecommunications.

That's because waveguide theory adds to the complexity of the subject. If all telecommunications was via radiowaves in the vacuum of outer space things would be a lot simpler.
