Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd and UK Foreign Secretary William Hague chat with local residents at a barbecue for flood victims and volunteers in the suburb of West End on January 19, 2011 in Brisbane, Australia. Foreign Secretary William Hague agreed to send UK flood recovery and flood forecast experts to assist in the region, and promised to bring Queensland State of Origin rugby league jerseys to the UK for Prince William and Prince Harry to wear and then auction to raise funds. Parts of Queensland were devastated by flash floods last week, taking the lives of 20 people with the death toll still expected to rise.

Donna Maree Rice, 43 and Jordan Rice, 13 were swept away in the flash floods that struck the Lockyer Valley, taking the lives of 20 people. The search for victims continues with authorities warning the death toll may still rise.
