Attempted suicide at MOM building

The Singapore Civil Defence Force says police have coaxed to safety a man found on the roof top of the 8-storey Ministry Of Manpower building at Havelock road.

SCDF received a call about the case shortly before 3 this afternoon.

The man was sitting on a ledge at the building earlier today but he's in safe hands now.

Eyewitnesses say the man has a tanned complexion.

SCDF says it deployed two support vehicles, two fire engines, and an ambulance to the scene.

It also inflated a large yellow life pack the size of a small HDB bedroom on the ground floor, directly beneath where the man was sitting earlier today.

But they deflated it and removed most of the cordon at around 4.30pm

I was in court yesterday near by MOM.

When arriving in the morning a PRC asked me for direction to MOM.

One look at him I knew that he is in great trouble with employment crisis.

These days foreign workers not getting paid, permit canceled, force to go him without money etc, thousands and thousands.

Big troubles at MOM for sure.

bobian la, now everywhere retrenchment like maciam expected like lunch-break lor. then those FTrash come thinking they got hope, end up kena hopeless, maybe owe homeland neighbours $ for the airfare, can't pay back, so thinking to die quick death lor.
