In private sector, heads already started to roll, pay cut for ministers is not even close to any punishment for all the losses made in throwing monies away.
They upped their salary early this year by 33%. Imagaine $1 by 33% will be $1.33. Then down it by 19% yesterday will make it $1.0773. So they still got a 7.73% increase this year for running the biz to the ground!
And of course they will blame it on the external factor that causes this. But what if the next upturn comes? They already told the peasants they will move their pay to 88% of their "nonsenscial top 7 occupation" scale.

i dont care! what about pay cut for mm and sm. useless positions for retirees. yes they did their bit for god and country, but now in bad times still shamelessly collect salary????? i think they should just get mp pay enough.
Ah Goh during his reign did what LHL doing now. Donate portion to charity, now it's time he got "pay back". LKY was also drawing lowly pay during his time. And now he is collecting 2 times: SM and MM.

If you donate a big part of your salary to charity in reality you have a bigger take home pay. That's what PM did. Go figure!
