2001年4月1日9时07分，
一架美国E-P3军用侦察机闯入距离
海南岛东南仅104公里的中国近海，
并恶意撞击进行跟踪监视的
中国海军歼-8Ⅱ战机（编号81192）。
中方飞机坠毁，
飞行员王伟失踪（13天后宣布牺牲）。
9时33分，
美军飞机降落陵水军用机场，
机场工作人员来不及取枪，
拿起扫把木棍围住了对方。
整整50分钟后，
24名美军机人员才被带离飞机。
撞机事件刚刚过去1天，
美国海军以“监控局势发展”为由，
