Isn't this what the leeport suggests when ample figures have already shown that it costs about $100k++ to build a pigeonhole (including carparks and evey damned thing in the estate that the Familee then subsequently hijack to double charge the Peasants) while Mabroky then marks up by a few hundred percent to resell to the Peasants?

WHAT does 'affordable' mean?
With rising home prices hitting headlines in recent weeks, Singaporeans are falling over themselves trying to pin down affordability.

Affordable means, they can afford to jack up prices, change the rules, change the laws; anytime they wishes..

That is AFFORDABLE!

They say 30% of total income is still considered affordable? That is a 30 years old which is almost the full working life of an adult. This means that at the end of it, they have no money in their CPF.

How to retire like that?

Lackey Tan is indeed a swine.

The huge loans and long repayment period will create good interest income for housing mafia and banks.

With competition, the price of goods decline, despite the rapid advances in consumer electronics, the comsumers pay lesser over time. Peasant Tan forgets advances in building technology and materials will limit costs.

She is indeed a mouthpiece lackey.

Spot on. A 30-year loan and the accumulated interest paid will be very hefty. And 30% of your monthly income is gone into housing for 30 years.

If you were to set aside 20% of monthly income for retirement savings every month, you will be left will only 50% of income for your monthly needs. For someone earning $2k, that will be $1k left for your makan, transport, clothing, children expenses, children's education, tuition, utilities, conservancy charges etc .... I wonder what is the quality of life like living from hand to mouth.
