Fifteen men have been arrested in connection with the fight at St James Power Station that landed second-hand car dealer Kenny Lim in intensive care at the Singapore General Hospital.
Of the fifteen men, seven were charged with rioting on Saturday while the rest are assisting police with investigations. According to a report in The New Paper, all 15 of the men arrested were bouncers from the club.
Police had responded to a call at 2.45am on the night of the incident about a dispute along Sentosa Gateway. They arrived to find three people injured, one of whom was Mr Lim, whose injuries had put him in a coma.
He has since been moved from the hospital ICU at about 6pm yesterday, after he underwent surgery on Thursday to remove blood clots from his head.
STOMPer Stephen, a friend of Mr Lim, had earlier written in to STOMP, upset that bouncers at the night spot had apparently started the fight instead of preventing them like they are hired to do.
The question of whether clubs should install more CCTV cameras to assist in investigations during such disputes was also raised in a separate article.
