The Giallorossi midfielder has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs and Zenit but says he is committed to the Serie A leaders for the foreseeable future
Miralem Pjanic has shrugged off recent transfer speculation linking him with a move away from Roma insisting he is committed to the club.
The Bosnian midfielder has become an integral part of the Giallorossi since his arrival from Lyon in the summer of 2011, particularly under the guidance of Rudi Garcia this season.
Pjanic, who has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs (Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham) and Russian side Zenit, says he is happy at the Serie A league leaders but could move on sometime in the future.
“I won’t exclude the possibility of one day playing elsewhere, but I doubt this will happen soon,” he told reporters.
“It certainly won’t be in January, which is what some people have said, and certainly not in the next year and a half.”
With his contract expiring in June 2015, Pjanic will be able to discuss a pre-contract agreement with clubs in a little over a year’s time, but according to reports in Italy, Roma are understood to have begun discussions to extend the midfielder's stay.
The 23-year-old has started all 12 of the club’s Serie A games, scoring three goals in the process, including a double against Napoli in a 2-0 victory.
Comparing me with Buffon is unnecessary, says Enyeama
Nov 18, 2013 4:25:00 PM
The Nigeria goalkeeper says that he and the Bianconeri star are from different worlds but is looking forward to clashing with the Azzurri
EXCLUSIVE
By Kolade Oni
Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama as stressed that he does not feel worthy of comparisons with Italy counterpart Gianluigi Buffon.
Both shot-stoppers have been key parts of their respective national teams for a number of years and clash on Monday in a friendly at Craven Cottage.
And Enyeama is delighted to be playing against such opposition but believes that he and the Juventus skipper are from "different worlds".
"I am happy that we are playing a high-profile friendly against Italy. We have an opportunity to play against a renowned country and former world and European champions, he told Goal.
"There is no battle between me and Buffon because we are in two different worlds. He is a good goalkeeper no doubt about that but it would be an unnecessary distraction comparing me with the Italian goalkeeper.
"I expect an exciting match but the battle is beyond two individuals."
Italy and Nigeria kick-off in west London at 20:45CET.
Manchester City made a 'mistake' by not signing Pogba, says Vieira
By Asheesh Gohil71
Nov 19, 2013 12:23:00 PM
The World Cup-winning midfielder, who played for both City and Juventus, believes the Etihad Stadium outfit missed a trick by not recruiting the "extraordinary" 20-year-old
Manchester City reserve team manager Patrick Vieira has labelled the club's failure to sign French midfielder Paul Pogba a "mistake".
The 20-year-old left rivals Manchester United on a free transfer in 2012, joining Serie A champions Juventus where he scored five goals in his maiden campaign en route to the Scudetto.
And Vieira, who noted the similarities between himself and the Blues youngster, says he regrets City's failure to lure his "extraordinary" countryman to the Etihad Stadium.
"Many people say he is like I was. I think he is more offensive than me and perhaps better technically," Vieira told L'Equipe. "He is a player that I really like.
"I saw him play for Manchester United. That Manchester City did not take him when he left was a mistake because he is an extraordinary player."
Pogba was on the losing side as France suffered a 2-0 defeat to Ukraine in their World Cup play-off first leg and Vieira has urged the players to step up.
"In the French team, we have the players. These players must have a structure that allows them to grow," the former Arsenal midfielder continued.
"They must feel that the France team is as important, if not more important, than the club. This is not the case right now."
Former Milan striker Andriy Shevchenko has revealed his desire to take over as coach at San Siro in the future.
Shevchenko retired from football in July 2012 after a career that saw him win the Serie A title and a UEFA Champions League crown with Milan.
The ex-Ukraine international has previously declared his intention to take up coaching, despite joining the Ukraine Forward! political party shortly before his retirement.
And the 37-year-old feels the coach's position at Milan would be a perfect role for him.
"Now is a moment of transition for me. I am studying," Shevchenko is quoted as saying by Gazetta dello Sport.
"I'm preparing for the future, certainly coaching Milan or Ukraine's national team would be ideal for me."
Current Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri is thought to be under considerable pressure following a disappointing start to the season that sees them 19 points behind league leaders Roma after 12 games.
But, despite their poor form, Shevchenko does not believe Allegri should be relieved of his duties.
"The club will decide but I don't think it's the time for a change," he added.
Ancelotti rules out Pirlo-Alonso swap
19 November 2013
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has denied reports that he is open to a swap deal with Juventus involving Xabi Alonso and Andrea Pirlo.
Both players are out of contract at the end of the season and have been linked with moves away from their respective clubs.
Alonso – who limped out of Spain's 2-1 win over Equatorial Guinea with an ankle knock – is seen as a vital member of the Italian's squad, and with Sami Khedira suffering a long-term knee injury, the 31-year-old is expected to be a regular starter.
Pirlo played for Ancelotti at Milan and the Madrid coach admitted he has remained in contact with the midfielder, but denied he was considering a move for the 34-year-old.
"Xabi is a vital player for Madrid now that he's recovered from injury," he told Mediaset. "There are only two players like him in Europe. One is Pirlo and the other is Xabi.
"However, we have no intention of making a player exchange deal with Juventus. There is no substance to any rumour like that.
"I am still in touch with Andrea because I have a good relationship with him. I was pleased to see the Madrid fans give him a warm welcome when we met."
Pirlo moved to Juventus in 2011 and has helped guide them to back-to-back Serie A titles under Antonio Conte.
Mihajlovic swaps Serbia for Sampdoria
20 November 2013
Sinisa Mihajlovic has announced he will take the reins at Sampdoria after stepping down from his role as Serbia coach.
The 44-year-old had been linked with his former club, for whom he made over 100 appearances as a player, for some time.
He has now confirmed he will return for a fourth managerial stint in Italy, while admitting regret at leaving the national post he accepted in May 2012.
"In recent days questions were raised over my future, because my contract was due to expire at the end of the month," Mihajlovic told reporters.
"Out of respect for Russia (who Serbia played in a friendly on Friday) and the journalists, I stayed quiet until the final two games were played, but after talks with the federation I decided that I will no longer be the coach of Serbia.
"I make this decision with much regret, because I set up a new generation and a new team for Serbia who have bright prospects.
"I accepted the invitation from Sampdoria, where I played for four years."
Mihajlovic has suggested he would have left Serbia regardless of the approach from Sampdoria, who sacked Delio Rossi last week.
"I want to emphasise that Sampdoria's call had little influence on my decision, as I left because federation president Tomislav Karadzic and secretary Zoran Lakovic could not guarantee they would stay in their roles," he added.
"I leave the door open to maybe one day come back and be coach of Serbia again."
Sampdoria currently lie 18th in Serie A, having won just two games this season.
Thohir: Inter academy can be the best in the world
By Stefan Coerts54
Nov 21, 2013 8:52:00 AM
The new Nerazzurri owner has highlighted the importance of a successful youth set-up as he aims to return the club to the summit of Italian football
Inter president Erick Thohir feels the Nerazzurri youth academy is one of the best in Europe, but has vowed to turn it into one of the finest in the world.
The Giuseppe Meazza side won the inaugural edition of the prestigious NextGen Series in 2011-12, yet very few players of that successful squad - such as Samuele Longo and Lorenzo Crisetig - have forged their way into Walter Mazzarri's first-team plans.
However, Thohir is adamant that Inter's youth set-up is up there with the very best in Italy and Europe and feels it will be key to restoring the club to the summit of Serie A.
"Inter have one of the best academies in Italy, even in Europe. I want it to be one of the best in the world," Thohir told Sky Italia.
"I don't agree that you can't win anything with young players. At the end of the day 11 players go out on the pitch.
"We can have superstars but we can't have all superstars. With a combination of superstars and young players you can always have a good team.
"I think all successful teams start with talented young players, it's always a combination."
The Nerazzurri sit fourth in the league table, with 25 points from 12 games, ahead of the weekend trip to Bologna.
Former Bologna man Gaston Ramirez could be on the verge of a Serie A return after the Southampton attacker's agent revealed talks with Inter.
Uruguayan Ramirez has just 94 English Premier League minutes under his belt this campaign, and is yet to make a league start under Mauricio Pochettino.
Ramirez's agent Pablo Betancourt has revealed he is shopping around the midfielder, to ensure he gets minutes into his legs to benefit his chances of getting game time at the FIFA World Cup next year.
"Inter have been in touch with me two or three times already," Betancourt told calciomercato.com.
"There are lots of South Americans at the Nerazzurri and Italian football was what launched him in the first place, so it would be perfect.
"I've got to meet with the president of the English club and we've got to see whether Ramirez will remain in the Premier League or return to Italy, it doesn't matter where.
"All that matters is he plays in the run-up to the World Cup.
"The only problem will be talking to the president of Southampton, Nicola Cortese, who has always handled my client with kid gloves."
The 22-year-old could also be Napoli-bound, with Football Italia reporting the Naples-based club are also in the running for his services alongside Inter.
Juventus will be looking to provisionally take over the lead in Serie A when it visits Livorno on Sunday, while Roma hosts Cagliari.
Juventus beat third-place Napoli before the international break to cut Roma's advantage to one point, following a second successive draw for the capital club.
Napoli hosts Parma, while this weekend also sees the first Verona derby in 11 years. Fifth-place Fiorentina travels to Udinese and troubled AC Milan hosts Genoa.
Here are five things to know entering this weekend's Italian league matches:
ANXIOUS ALLEGRI
Once again there is talk of AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri facing the sack as his team continues to struggle in Serie A.
Milan is winless in its past four league matches and lies 10th in the table, 15 points behind third-placed Napoli and four points off the bottom three. It hosts Genoa on Saturday with a number of players still out injured, while captain Riccardo Montolivo is suspended.
Milan stuck by Allegri last season, when the team was also in a perilous position, and vice president Adriano Galliani has given the beleaguered coach a vote of confidence.
One of the few bright lights at Milan has been Kaka, who has impressed since his return from Real Madrid. And the Brazilian has vowed there is more to come.
"Every game and every match I feel more like I'm at home and bit by bit I'm getting better with these guys and I'm beginning to take the team in hand as a leader," Kaka said.
"I want to qualify for the Champions League knockout stages and start climbing up the league table as a gift to these fans."
VERONA DERBY RETURN
The Verona derby returns after an 11-year absence when high-flying Hellas Verona hosts bottom place Chievo Verona on Saturday.
Hellas has impressed since winning promotion to Serie A and is in sixth place with seven victories. It has also won all six of its home matches.
Chievo has only six points from 12 matches and is four points away from safety, with just one win. Coach Giuseppe Sannino was fired during the international break - two days after the team held AC Milan to a goalless home draw - and Eugenio Corini was rehired.
Corini coached Chievo last season and steered the club to a 12th-place finish but fell out with president Luca Campedelli.
INJURY-HIT JUVE
Juventus travels to struggling Livorno on Sunday knowing it can provisionally take over top spot, with leader Roma not playing until the following day.
However, it is facing a crisis in defense, with Stephan Lichtsteiner injured and Angelo Ogbonna and Leonardo Bonucci out suspended. Andrea Barzagli is also a doubt.
Midfielders Claudio Marchisio and Arturo Vidal could also miss the match with injury. Even if Vidal is passed fit, Juventus will have to get special dispensation to use the Chilean international as FIFA rules prevent a player from appearing for his club up to five days after missing an international with injury.
Giorgio Chiellini and Mirko Vucinic are likely to return from injury.
"There's a bit of an emergency at the back but I'm feeling good, I will be available unless there are any surprises," former Livorno defender Chiellini said. "We were great before the break and we have to start again from where we left off. You saw the real Juventus in the last four games.
"We know the difficulties you can face after a break and also that you can't underestimate anyone so as not to lose points that could be decisive. We have never done so and it won't happen this time."
ROMA READY
Serie A leader Roma is looking to get back on track after two consecutive draws when it hosts Cagliari on Monday.
Roma remains top after a stunning start to the season which saw it win its opening 10 games, but has seen its lead cut to one point above two-time reigning champion Juventus.
"This break allowed us to recharge the batteries a bit and sort out a couple of situations, with important players coming back from injury," goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis said. "We will try in every way and using all our strengths to get the best out of the next match against Cagliari."
Cagliari, which sits 13th in the table after three defeats in its past four matches, has won its past two league matches at Roma's Stadio Olimpico.
NEW INTER PRESIDENT
For the first time in 18 years Massimo Moratti will not be president of Inter Milan when it visits Bologna on Sunday.
New owner Erick Thohir has been elected as club president, with Moratti granted the role of honorary president.
Thohir will not be present at the match, after flying out of Italy on Thursday morning. He is scheduled to return on Nov. 28, ahead of Inter's home match against Sampdoria.
Indonesian businessman Thohir, who is also part owner of the Philadelphia 76ers and D.C. United, bought a majority stake of Inter last month.
Inter is fourth in the standings, while Bologna is just a point off the relegation zone.
Milan will seek to end a five-game winless run in Serie A when they travel to rock-bottom Catania on Sunday.
Massimiliano Allegri's men have underachieved this season and occupy the unfamiliar territory of the Italian top flight's bottom half after claiming just three wins from 13 matches.
A midweek UEFA Champions League triumph over Celtic did help to lift some of the gloom but Allegri's charges need things to improve on the domestic front.
Away days have proven problematic for Milan this term, with their defensive frailties regularly exposed in a run of six matches without a win on the road.
A clean sheet at Chievo in their last trip was a first away from San Siro for Milan this term, with Allegri's defence having leaked 13 goals in the previous five away fixtures.
And they meet a team who, despite occupying bottom spot, are in fine form at home.
Luigi De Canio's charges are unbeaten at the Stadio Angelo Massimino since the beginning of September, a run stretching over five games.
Perhaps more impressively, they have conceded just one goal in that run, which has helped them remain in touch with the sides above them.
Milan were rocked by injuries to Robinho (shoulder) and Ignazio Abate (ankle) at Celtic Park, with both set to miss out this time.
The absence of the Brazilian will come as a relief to the hosts, even if he has only managed two goals this season.
Despite their injury setbacks and poor league form, Milan do have history on their side in this fixture.
They did the double over Catania last season and have never lost to them in 14 previous league meetings.
Serie A leaders Juventus host Udinese on Sunday looking to extend their winning run to six matches.
The reigning champions moved above Roma into top spot thanks to 2-0 victory at Livorno last weekend and will be confident of retaining that position against a club they are unbeaten against in four matches.
Francisco Guidolin's Udinese have made an inconsistent start to the season, having failed to win back-to-back league games and losing four of their last six fixtures.
They have also lost five of their six away Serie A matches this term, with their sole success coming in a 2-1 victory at newly promoted Sassuolo last month.
Goals have not been easy to come by for the 11th-placed Udinese, as only the bottom two have scored fewer than their 12 strikes.
And to make matters worse for Guidolin, Colombian forward Luis Muriel - who has scored three of their 12 league goals - will miss the trip to the Juventus Stadium with a thigh strain.
That means it will be up to top scorer Antonio Di Natale to lead to line against Antonio Conte's side, but the 36-year-old captain is confident his team can get a positive result in Turin.
"We're on the way up and our qualities emerged against Fiorentina and Catania. It will be tough in Turin, but we will play our game and the pitch will be the final judge," the veteran Italy international said.
Juventus come into the game on the back of a morale boosting win in the UEFA Champions League over Copenhagen, with Arturo Vidal scoring a hat-trick in that game to take him to 10 goals in all competitions this season.
Carlos Tevez will also provide a threat to the Udinese defence, with the Argentina international having contributed 25 per cent of Juventus' league goals this season with seven in 13 appearances since his move from Manchester City.
Conte will welcome back defenders Stephan Lichsteiner and Andrea Barzagli, as well as former Udinese man Mauricio Isla, but Sebastian Giovinco and Simone Pepe remain on the sidelines and Kwadwo Asamoah is suspended.
Walter Mazzarri will be looking to inflict defeat on one of his former clubs when Inter host Sampdoria on Sunday.
The Inter head coach spent two years with the Genoa-based team from 2007 to 2009 - earning sixth and 13th place finishes in Serie A - before taking the reins at Napoli ahead of the 2009-10 campaign.
However, Mazzarri will put any sentimental feelings to one side at San Siro as he looks to extend his current side's unbeaten Serie A run to seven games.
Inter sit fourth in the table after 13 matches, but they were held 1-1 at lowly Bologna last time out.
That fixture at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara saw Inter go behind after just 12 minutes courtesy of a fine effort from Panagiotis Kone, before Jonathan Moreira levelled soon after half-time.
Mazzarri could be without defender Yuto Nagatomo for visit of Sampdoria after he picked up a muscle injury at Bologna.
Sunday's match at San Siro will see ex-Inter defender Sinisa Mihajlovic take charge of his second Sampdoria game after Lorik Cana's injury-time equaliser denied him victory against another of his former clubs, Lazio, in his first fixture at the helm.
Cana's leveller denied Sampdoria their first win since a 1-0 success over Atalanta on October 26 and leaves them in 18th place, with just two wins from 13 Serie A fixtures this term.
Midfielder Nenad Krsticic was dismissed for two bookable offences against Lazio, meaning he is suspended for the trip to a ground Sampdoria have not won at since December 1996, when they secured a 4-3 victory.
The corresponding fixture last season ended 3-2 to Inter, with Diego Milito, Rodrigo Palacio and Freddy Guarin on target for the hosts while Gianni Munari and Eder replied for Sampdoria.
Here are five things to know about Serie A ahead of this weekend's matches:
YOUTH FOR JUVE
Juventus will be cheered on by thousands of children when it welcomes Udinese on Sunday looking to reinforce its lead at the top of the table.
The sectors behind each goal at the Juventus Stadium, normally populated by ultras, will instead by filled by 6,400 children. Kick-off has been brought forward to 1830 local time (1730 GMT).
The punishment was inflicted for insulting territorial chants in a 3-0 win over Napoli.
Both curves will be closed against Udinese, while the southern end of the stadium will also be closed against Sassuolo on Dec. 14.
Juventus took over first place last week with a fifth consecutive victory and will be full of confidence after beating FC Copenhagen 3-1 in the Champions League on Wednesday.
TANK PRANK
Security will be reinforced in the city of Bergamo and at the stadium ahead of Roma's match at Atalanta.
There has always been a strong rivalry between the two clubs but tensions were exacerbated by the recent tank prank. Atalanta midfielder Guilio Migliaccio was onboard a tank, driven by Atalanta fans at the supporters' annual preseason festival in Bergamo, that drove over two cars decorated in the colours of rival teams Brescia and Roma.
Roma has stalled of late following a fantastic start to the season. After becoming the first Serie A club to win its opening 10 matches, it then was held to three straight draws.
"Our strength is that we have controlled and won matches one after the other," Roma coach Rudi Garcia said. "That gave us a desire to continue playing well. We could have also won our last three matches, I think.
"We're second and only a point behind Juve, who like us has had a more than exceptional start to the season. Our aim remains getting into Europe."
MILAN TURNAROUND
AC Milan is hoping its Champions League victory over Celtic will serve as a turnaround in a so far miserable season.
Milan is without a win in its past five league games and has slipped to 13th in the Serie A table, 14 points off the Champions League spots and only four away from the bottom three.
Kaka inspired a 3-0 victory in Glasgow on Tuesday, scoring the first goal to help Milan to its first away win in any competition this season. The former Real Madrid midfielder was given a standing ovation by the entire stadium.
"This victory has given us confidence," Kaka said. "Now we have a difficult match against Catania and it is important to get back to winning ways in the league to get out of this uncomfortable situation.
"We had to win against Celtic, it was fundamental to break the series of awful results. The result was a bit of a surprise, I wasn't expecting it but in the end 3-0 was the right result. We deserved it."
Mario Balotelli, who missed a penalty in Saturday's 1-1 draw with 10-man Genoa and had gone six matches in all competitions without a goal, also scored.
The match could also see the return of Italy forward Stephan El Shaarawy, who hasn't played for Milan since the beginning of September after injuring his foot in training.
NAGATOMO HONORED
Inter Milan defender Yuto Nagatomo was named Asian Player of the Year this week.
"I'm happy and honored to have received this award, but it's not just for me," the Japan international said. "I have to thank all of my teammates who allow me to play to my best level, as well as the fans who support me.
"I still have to improve a lot and I'll work very hard to do so as I have to progress."
Inter, which is fourth in the table, hosts relegation-threatened Sampdoria on Sunday.
NEGATIVE NAPOLI
Napoli was level with Juventus at the start of the month but has now slipped to third, six points behind the Bianconeri.
The team also lost 3-1 at Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday to extend its losing streak to three matches in all competitions.
On Monday, Napoli travels to Lazio, where it has not won since 2008.
Lazio is also on a negative streak and has won only one of its past eight league matches.
Serie A - Strootman rescues Roma's unbeaten record, Inter draw
Kevin Strootman rescued AS Roma's unbeaten record in Serie A when he scored in the 90th minute to give them a 1-1 draw at Atalanta on Sunday.

Davide Brivio had given Atalanta the lead early in the second half with a free kick which went under the wall and caught Roma goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis napping.
Roma moved on to 34 points from 14 games, level with leaders Juventus who host Udinese in the evening game (1730).
Inter Milan's new chairman, Indonesian business tycoon Erick Thohir, was greeted by the team's worst performance of the season against Sampdoria when he watched his first game at the San Siro on Sunday since taking over.
Fredy Guarin gave Inter an 18th-minute lead after dazzling play by Ricardo Alvarez, but they faded badly after halftime and were pegged back to a 1-1 draw by Renan's 89th-minute equaliser for Sampdoria.
Cagliari came from two goals behind to hold Sassuolo 2-0 at home and Chievo beat Livorno 3-0.
Serie A Wrap: Last-gasp Juve extend lead, Roma´s winless streak continues
2 December 2013
Juventus extended their lead at the top of Serie A to three points after Fernando Llorente's last-gasp strike against Udinese.
Substitute Stephan Lichtsteiner, making his return from two months on the sidelines, saw his shot diverted in by Llorente to secure a 1-0 win in the third minute of added time on Sunday – Juventus' sixth league triumph in succession.
Second-placed Roma also had a late intervention, in the form of Kevin Strootman's close-range finish, to thank for preserving their unbeaten record at Atalanta.
The hosts led when Morgan de Sanctis misjudged Davide Brivio's 51st-minute free-kick and Roma are now without a win in four games, their runaway early-season form an increasingly distant memory.
Milan put boardroom upheaval to one side as they came back from a goal down to defeat 10-man Catania 3-1.
Lucas Castros' 13th-minute strike took a deflection of Daniele Bonera to open the scoring, but Riccardo Montolivo levelled matters with a fine volleyed finish from Urby Emanuelson's cross.
Mario Balotelli crashed a low free-kick through the Catania wall and into the bottom corner and was then on the receiving end of the high tackle that saw Panagiotis Tachtsidis dismissed before an excellent angled effort from Kaka completed the scoring eight minutes from time.
Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri and his Catania counterpart Luigi De Canio played down a flashpoint between Balotelli and home defender Nicolas Spolli after the match, following reports that the Italy striker reacted angrily to alleged racial abuse from the Argentine before being substituted.
Fourth-place Inter could not welcome new president Erick Thohir with a win over Sampdoria, with the match at the San Siro another to produce late drama.
Fredy Guarin gave the hosts a 17th-minute lead after Ricky Alvarez bamboozled Sampdoria defender Andrea Costa, but a superb 25-yard drive from substitute Renan ensured a share of the spoils with a minute remaining.
Cagliari fought back from 2-0 down to claim a 2-2 draw against fellow strugglers Sassuolo.
Ex-Milan defender Lino Marzoratti powered home a header and Simone Zaza doubled the advantage, but Nene and Marco Sau were on target inside the last 15 minutes for the home side.
Chievo's upturn in fortunes under Eugenio Corini continued, with Luca Rigoni, Cyril Thereau and Alberto Paloschi on target in the 3-0 win over Livorno.
The Juve playmaker suffered a clash of knees in the meeting with Udinese and initial reports have suggested that he could miss a month of action
Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo has suffered knee ligament damage, the Serie A club have revealed on Monday.
The Bianconeri have not indicated how long the 34-year-old could be sidelined, but initial speculation suggests it could be up to a month, ruling him out of the rest of 2013.
A statement on the official club website said: "Andrea Pirlo, who picked up a knock not long after kick-off in yesterday’s fixture between Juventus and Udinese, has undergone medical tests this afternoon.
"The examinations at Turin’s Fornaca Clinic have revealed second-grade damage to the medial collateral ligament of his right knee."
The playmaker was involved in a clash of knees with Udinese midfielder Andrea Lazzari during Antonio Conte's men's 1-0 victory over the Zebrette on Sunday.
Pirlo suffered the knock after only six minutes and attempted to run off the injury before signalling to the bench that he was unable to continue after 15 minutes.
Juventus' win over Udinese stretched their lead in Italy's top flight to three points courtesy of Fernando Llorente's last-minute winner.
The Bianconeri face Bologna on Friday before a crucial Champions League clash against Galatasaray next Wednesday.
