But they really hire the people and get the material from within the country. It actually pushes the economic growth for the borrowing nations.

It's only china that they lend you the money. Charges the country at a very high interest rate. Use their own material, use their own people to build.

At the end of it, the borrowing country gains nothing.

Yes and no. You hire china company, they really get things done. If hire own local sub standard company, whatever plan will not get even 50% due to corruption a delay

U must understand these are african countries or South america countries, they never efficient when left on their own. Example hire chinese company build port, once port is built, there will be prosperity regardless who build it. Key is get it built

By building infrastructure, it's to use the money from loans to inject money into the system. Thus it create more money down the line from the top to the bottom.

But if you get a loan from CCP and you hire Tiong to do the work. They source their material from China , they get their own man from china to work. All the loan money spend eventually goes back to China. Leaving nothing to the host nation. I hear say even the pails use to contain water is being brought from china. The worker does not even spend a single cent.

But the infrastructure get built right? The port or bridge get built. That the point. Once the port or habour is built , the prosperity will come to town.

If you get a african company to build port, the port will never get built and all $ will be gone and even.the lender also cannot get back the $. No infrastructure built, then no prosperity
