Published on Feb 11, 2012

By Leonard Lim
The police are investigating a suspected online vice operation as part of their enforcement efforts to clamp down on vice syndicates, a spokesman said on Saturday in response to media queries.

It is believed that about 80 people, including public servants, are involved in the investigations.

However, as investigations are currently ongoing, it was not appropriate to provide further details at this juncture, added the police.

The probe comes after an online prostitution ring that was operating out of a condominium in Bukit Panjang was busted by the police last December. During that operation, 23 suspects were arrested. It is not clear if the two cases are related.

Singaproe civil service & LEEgime are all rotten to core.:*:

They infact rots from the Core out. The corruption began from the core!

Why are the SPF are so focused in clamping down online vice and HCs which cater to the needs of the ordinary people of Singapore ?
Why the SPF did not curb the high-class vice syndicates catering to the needs of the rich/elite groups in Singapore ?

a most wonderful development.........................

too bad elections are over.........................sigh..................

Casino gambling is not vice but prostitution is. Go figure.

Exactly what is wrong with prostitution? It is the oldest profession.
Men go to prostitutes for a good time, honest transactions and no judgments.

Who gave the government the right to be arbiters of morality?

Is there a clause on a public servant's employment contract which specifically prohibits him from visiting a prostitute? If not, and if there is no bribing involved, what's the problem?

Are these sporadic and random anti-vice sting operations done 'for show' to pacify the conservative/religious/anti-prostitution crowd? That's sheer hypocrisy.
