Is LHL Serious about Re-taking Aljunied GRC?

Nothing is safe. PAP or Opposition. But I don't think the FT programme will be repeated on the same mad scale it had been in the past, although it will not be totally stopped. It is too great a political cost to the ruling party to continue it the same way it had in the past.

I think the massive repercussion had also shocked the pap. they will learn from this and not repeat it again. that's some comfort for Singaporeans

Not necessarily so, from my experience. Having too many may lead to accidental tripping and exposure. It is not like $$$ - the more the merrier. Or women.

many inputs from various sources can be a pleasant problem as it gives a more comprehensive and varied reports

more women may give you more gratification and better enjoyment in the short term, but disastrous effects in the long term. like the influx of cheap foreign labour policy on Singapore

If you ask me, LHL and PAP knows it's not going to be easy to take back Aljunied. What they really want is to keep WP resources in Aljunied and prevent the second GRC from falling.

And the PAP knows there's a chance WP might do that. LTK and his leadership is known to be non-risk takers and rather do that even if it means overpumping resources in Aljunied. They may not prioritise a 2nd GRC win for at least one GE.

The PAP is weak at reading the ground and people sentiments, but they sure know the opposition rather well. It is not difficult since the opposition is small and measurable - even I get my predictions more correct than not.

Shd be not severe. information may be available and the same. But it's the analyst's power of interpretation and application that make the results different and useful

I agree. LHL is hoping that the WP will put their best in Aljunied.

But I feel that just putting in one or two of their best is enough for WP to retain Aljunied. the other three of their best could be used to capture another two GRCS

On the contrary, PAP has one of the best ground reading machinery in the world. They conceded defeat of Aljunied on nomination day, not until polling day, if you know to read the message. Well, the message has to be face-saving politically of course. We'll have to learn how to decipher it.
