Am I wrong to ask others to take A.R.T tests before Christmas Eve gathering?

A couple whom I am close friends with planned to have a Christmas gathering at their new BTO flat on Christmas eve.

They invited me and another couple. We know each other well since University days.

So total is 5 of us.

I plan to do a self A.R.T (just to be safe before I go).

So this morning, via WhatsApp Groupchat, I asked my host couole and the other couple if they would also do self A.R.T tests on Christmas Eve, so that everyone is safe as we gather without masks to celebrate Christmas together.

They have gone totally silent on the WhatsApp Group Chat since my message this morning.

Have I offended them?

Is it wrong to ask for A.R.T tests before being maskless in a flat with other people, even though they are close friends?

Or have I just UNINVITED myself from the Christmas Eve gathering this Friday?

Exactly, why even bother to celebrate xmas? I stopped celebrating a few years ago, after I found out there is no santa claus and that jesus was just an ancient wise man, not son of God as claimed by xtians.
