My intention is to let her build back her health. I have gone to the chinese medicine hall and bought some herbs to make soup for her. The herbs are to help nourish the blood and to revitalise the health. Perhaps you can share with me how does the westerners nurse their women back to health after giving birth. Thank you in advance.
In the Western world, women who have just given birth aren't considered to be unhealthy in the first place so there is nothing to revitalise.
Unless there was excessive bleeding during childbirth, iron tablets can do the job of restoring hematocrit levels in no time at all.
None of the women in NZ that I've known go through any form of confinement. They're out walking the dog or cycling within a week or so of giving birth. My neighbour is a gym instructor and she was back at work 3 weeks after having her 3rd child. She told me that she'd done the same thing after the first two. "It's the fastest way of getting back into shape" was the advice she gave. She's right.
