Most of the stuff are cooked by PRC now. KNN, everything taste the same. Salty & oily.
worst atrocity is chendol. used to enjoy chendol in a sundae glass, with red beans followed by green jelly at the bottom, and stacked with gulam followed by ice, then topped with coconut juice. nowadays in sg, i don't call it chendol anymore. it's more like ice kacang trifle trying to be chendol, with all colors of ingredients fighting for air. the durian topping turns it into phlegmy ice soup. adding insult to injury, tiong bu's serve them in a bowl, in the wrong sequence. in fact no sequence and layers at all. it's a fecking jumbled mess.
