Despite his 10 years experience, this was his first chinese wedding assignment and he did make this known to the couple. Initially the couple did expressed apprehension about hiring his service for their big days but went ahead anyway after the photographer reduced his fee from the usual $3k to $600. They also wanted the honour to be the first couple to engage this so-called celebrity photographer for their chinese wedding.

I was surprised that the photographer churned out 4000 photos for their wedding of which the couple released only about 10 photos. They were undeniably horrible but surely it was not fair to judge how the photographer fare based on 10 out of 4000 photos. Anyway, I think the couple may have gone a little overboard to go all out to condemn the photographer since he had already refunded them in full.

The moral of the story is never hire a person who is too inexperienced for an occasion you deem very important to you. If you want cheaper-faster-better and willing to be a guinea pig, good luck to you.

Not sure if the photographer showed her his past work for Chinese Weddings before taking on this job. I kind of like his work as lead photographer for Michele and Adam Hingst.

When my wife and I got married, we were so poor that we saved on the bridal pics. 5 years down the road, we are still blissfully married. My cousin who got married one year later, went on a Taiwan package to take the photographs at his wife's "request"

They were separated 6 months ago :o

Don't understand the big fuss about wedding photos. You can probably get quite decent results with a point-and-shoot camera phone these days.

It's just a silly marriage. No need for such a big hoo-ha over it. After a couple of years you'll get tired of seeing each other.

"Complaint" is a noun.


The use of "still" here is continuing to the present time, hence we use the Present Tense for the main verb "complains".​

The sinkie couple made bad decision 1) by hiring him and couldn't accept the quality of his pics, and made another bad decision 2) by taking it to the internet and couldn't stand up against the internet attention and the gloating mob. Thats why I think is fair to CSI their identity

What a way to spoil his income-earning potential. Over $600 peanut.
That is something I do not understand. When people get their priority wrong. After investing so much on AD, and wanting to keep the memories. They get someone inexperienced and cheap for the job.

If they are Malaysian, it is classic saving money for the wrong reasons.

This photographer is another idiot. He should be an understudy or get an experienced partner photographer ... someone who know how these Chinese weddings work.

Taking MRT instead of taxi.

If the photographer think he has been wronged, he can sue the couple. If he is too poor, at least drop the names of the couple and show us some of the "better" photos. If he is a conman, then he deserved the bad pubicity

All it takes is a few poor reviews to affect your future earnings as a freelancer. These days everyone uses the Internet to do some simple fact finding and research before hiring you.

Clearly, both sides were in the wrong, but the collateral damage for the freelancer is heavier.
