A lack of luck and premium player business has pulled down the net profit of Genting Singapore by 31 per cent in the first quarter.
The parent company of Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) reported a net profit of $211.5 million down from $305.4 million in the same period last year.
Gaming revenue at RWS fell by 19 per cent to $655.4 million.
Conversely, its competitor Marina Bay Sands reported last month, that its casino business in the first quarter increased by 51 per cent to $880 million.
