SINGAPORE : Police have arrested a 38-year-old man who's believed to have broken into a warehouse at Serangoon North Avenue 5 on Sunday and stole three laptops worth about $3,000.
The suspect was believed to have gained access by smashing the glass panel and forcing open the main door, and had made away with three laptops.
The suspect was arrested on Monday near Blk 565 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10.
The three stolen laptops were later seized from a secondhand dealer in Ang Mo Kio whom the suspect is believed to have sold the laptops to.
Police said the suspect will be charged in court on Wednesday for housebreaking and theft.
If convicted, he can be jailed for up to 10 years.
Investigations against the 28-year-old secondhand dealer are currently ongoing.
Under the law, a person who dishonestly receives or retains any stolen property, knowing or having reason to believe the property to be stolen property, can be jailed for up to 5 years and fined.
