Two youths arrested for robbery with hurt

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested two suspects, aged 15 and 16, in a robbery with hurt case.
The duo allegedly assaulted a 78-year-old wheelchair user along North Bridge Road at about 7pm on Tuesday and robbed him of S$500 cash.
Police said they were informed of the incident at about 8.50 on Wednesday morning.
Officers from the Central Police Division managed to establish the identity of the suspects and arrested them along Jalan Sultan.
The suspects will be charged on Thursday with robbery with hurt.
If convicted, they face up to 20 years in jail and a minimum of 12 strokes of the cane. - CNA/gn
