Trio nab motorcycle thief

THREE public-spirited members of the public helped arrest a serial motocycle thief. The suspect, 20, is believed have been involved in a spate of motorcycle thefts in Hougang in the past two months. The suspect was nabbed after officers located a motorcycle that had been reported missing on Thursday morning.
The thief returned for the motorcycle that afternoon and was nabbed. But the suspect resisted arrest. Three passers-by, Mr Jabalal Nadasa, 62, and two Bangladeshi nationals, Mr Sharif Patwari Abdul Rajjak, 29 and Mr Suman Kumar Das Romananda, 23, came to assist the cops and subdued the suspect. The suspect will be charged in court on Saturday.
