China Team A v. China Team B. Singapore team is all PRCs coached by PRC coach. And the Singapore PRC coach is the brother of the PRC PRC coach.

Singapore rich enough to buy PRC, not rich enough to buy American. If not we could claim Phelps as ours.

Let see what others media(others than local media) will comment about women team table tennis from Singapore. I will try to search for the news in internet so hope you all will do the same.
Just like the other bro said Team A PRC(China) vs Team B PRC(Singapore).
This mean PRC have many sport talent only unwanted or reserved up for sales or export.

As you all can see China have more GOLD medal than Silver/Bronze. Mean they only go for 1st place. 2nd/3rd place is meaningless. But Mediacorp make a big news about Tao Li getting 5th place in final. Ha ha ha...... make me laugh.

In what way are the 5 women Singaporean?

What a bloody farce, and to see so many getting excited over it.

This ain't our medal.

We should congratulate Malaysia for having a homegrown Penangite badminton player in the finals.

well... SG born SG dont believe in investing half their life excel in sports. PRC do, cos in PRC, most of them are poor. hence excel in sport helps to pay the bills.

hence SG can only do import.

SG PR have better value then PRC PR, but pales in comparision to US green card.

They are hoping that their offsprings play table tennis too, then it will be pure sinkees

You are 100% correct. When theirs offspring win medal then it will be pure Sinkie citizen no doubt about this but need to wait at least 20 years. For me those born here are citizen.
Why Sinkie never buy Zimbawe swimmer Kristy Conventry, will be cheaper than PRC whole table tennis team at least she can get few gold medal.

Lets suppose if Singapore win the final and the gold....in 20 yrs time, would anyone rem the team is all PRC born paddlers? Everyone will talk abt the medal.
When France won the world cup isnt Zidane was not born in france? All other countries in the world have FT so why bother abt it?

At the end of the day what matter most is the color of the flag that will be raising at the victory ceremony not the birth place of the team members.

How many countries have national teams completely made up of imports?
We don't have to resort to such tactics just to gather a gold or two. Build up a sport where you'll be highly regarded in, and develop your own talent. Otherwise you'll forever be buying foreign talent. Where's the dignity in that?

btw, Zidane was born in France, Marseille.

Like I've mentioned earlier, Singapore's previous Olympic medalist Tan Howe Liang was also born in China.
