An extremely sensitive topic. The guy would have realised that if his letter was to be published, he would definitely offend some women.

I guess if he knew the consequences, and then decided he still had to write it, we have to respect his right to speak up, even if some do disagree with his views strongly.

As for me, this topic has a lot of grey areas. And that's because its all about personal preference, thus there's only opinions. And opinions, unlike facts, are always subjected to perception. So there's no right or wrong; just a lot of arguments due to personal opinion.

Its all about fanning the gender hatred where Singaporean men and women are encourage to curse one another for being lame.

In that way, the ugly truths of the matter are being left to the wind, sidelined again from the real questions and conversation that needs to be encourage.

Let's cut to the chase and be realistic about the matter.

Fact is both women and men are being marginalise in the workforce by the thrashloads of cheap labour that the PAP have been bringing in to displace them. Singaporeans both men and women are spending longer hours at work beating even the Koreans and the Japanese.

Above and beyond that, Singaporean and women, couples who are married have to queue up in line competiting for flats with the new citizens and PRs for HDB flats. Cost are also escalating and the cheng hu sees itself fit to blame Singaporean men and women for being too picky etc.

The fact is both Singaporean Men and Women knows that to start a family in Singapore is bonkers. Cost of essential items, housing, education, child care etc is hitting the roof.

Whats more, we are embroil in a culture as perpetuated by the PAP where Singaporeans are encourage to condemn one another every other day. The fact of the matter is, now we simply cannot stand one another and in this kind of environment how can the relationship across the spectrum not sufffer ?

When you are not happy, and work pressure is ever increasing, and in every hour of your day you are simply trying your best to keep afloat trying to make sense of it all and to keep your job, is there anytime left for romance and being nice ?

There are a myraid of factors at work to lead us to the present circumstances.

But surely the Tabloid shameless shallow press of our State Media would simply make Singaporean men and women debate over senseless issues that will not lead to a solution or a genuine conversation.

Whats worse, IT IS IN FACT FANNING THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE GENDERS to lead them to believe that the other gender is at fault.
