Why is this so ?

The Aussie govt has allow too many people on pretext of coming here as students but instead of studying, they went to become taxi driver etc....

the china students visa also allow them to buy property and there is a loop hole now in that the china people are washing dirty money into Australia from gambling, prostitution etc by channeling the money into Australia property.

What i heard is that the china people cannot bring money out of china and therefore, they open a casino account in macau, says in Grand Casino. They then go to Australia grand casino and draw out the money as this is allow within casino to take money out from another same joint casino.

The money taken out of casino cannot be questioned as anyone can claim to made money from the casino.

The china people then ask the Chinese student on student visa to buy the property from the auction at $100k above the bid price...these drive all the property prices up and that is also how Australia didnt get into recession because so much investment went into property...

The aussie govt allows more migrants in than required to booast the economy as these people buy cars, rent property etc etc...

So, if you plan to migrant to Australia, better have money cos the china people here are more richer than you...on the other hand, the india are not as rich but they are crafty and smart...

they went to apply as students to come to Australia to learn cooking and hair salon jobs but instead of studying, they went to take odd jobs like taxi drivers, cashers etc etc and hoping to get a PR afterwards...

food for thoughts...

Make sense. Australia is dependent too much on China these days, oh well isn't it the same everywhere else? Sg likes to boast about how they can ride the economy wave with china( though in the eye of china it's nothing to them).

Good what, the PRC mei mei you see here are rich. Unlike Singapore, where the PRCs there are tier 4-5. Chasing after the PRC mei mei here can be very rewarding financially. Imagine saying to the PRC mei mei," 我的车太小了,你父母来时太不方便了", and getting cash in hand for an X6 the next day by her.

you will see less of them in Australia eventually.

together with the recently announced restricions on properties, the market has cooled down somewhat.

India biggest source of migrants to Australia
2010-05-27 17:50:00

The Indian population in Australia has doubled in six years, and India has become the biggest source of migrants to the country, latest statistics show.

In 2007-08, the number of immigrants from India grew more than any other country, the immigration department said. During this period, the number of India-born people living in Australia grew by a total of 39,529.

China was the second-biggest source, as the Chinese-born population grew by 32,563. New Zealand (31,248) dropped to third place, while Britain (17,397) was fourth.

The India-born population has risen from 110,563 in 2002 to 239,295 in 2008, to become Australia's fourth-largest migrant community, it said.

Some of the Indians were skilled migrants arriving to take up jobs, and some arrived as students, many of them hoping to stay on as workers, the Age reported.

Even in 2008-09, the number of Indians in temporary residences in Australia grew by 40,000 or 40 percent.

For the seventh year in a row, India was the biggest source of permanent settlers in Victoria, with a net growth of 9,004 permanent residents from India.

India was followed by China with 8,034 permanent residents, 5,023 from Britain, 4,472 from New Zealand and 2,569 from Sri Lanka.

The British are still the biggest migrant community in Australia, with 1.166 million forming almost six percent of the population. New Zealanders (494,579) were the second-biggest group in mid-2008.

Other migrant communities include Italians, Greeks, Lebanese, Poles, Serbs, Dutch, Maltese, Croatians, Hungarians and Cypriots.

I don't like indians, I don't like PRCs either. But, at least PRCs bring in the wealth and crusine.

Indeed, most PRC mei mei I talked to stayed, even when they keep saying China is better etc etc. Reality is OZ provides so much that it compels them to stay here eventually. Most 1st grade PRC and even Ah nehs would come straight to Australia. Only the 2nd-3rd grade would use Singapore as a stepping stone.

indians are spoiling their reputation in Australia

just a day ago, I took a cab in Melbourne and the indian taxi driver told me to flag a cab instead as the destination I wanted to go was only 10km away...

then another day, a local australia guy told me to be wary of indian sale people who are pushing with their sales and will even forge your signature once they manage to get hold of some of your documentation...

in SG, it is the same too, our jobs are also taken away by the indians and they only protect their own people, recruiting their own people...

no wonder people hate them so much because we can all accept that different people can have different society status but integrity are equal among all people, so if you dont have integrity in your own race, you pull your race image down...
