Men And The Real Reason Behind Their Fascination Towards MILFs

Just the depiction of something as taboo and provocative was enough to stroke a man’s deepest darkest desire for MILFs for the first time. It was like putting something out there that they didn't even know they needed. And from then on, there was no looking back.
Suddenly, the men as well as the porn industry had found a way to call women older and still make it flattery at the same time. Not to say, the idea of romancing an older woman got men as hard as a rock. Even more so because everything seemed achievable now, even their most suppressed desires.
And while men would not admit fantasizing about their friend’s moms or their older teachers, the yearly statistics on porn sites that constantly show a boom in the number of hits on the now popular category, speak for itself.
In fact, to date, MILF is one of the most visited categories on porn sites and the credit goes just as much to Lisa Ann as it does to human psychology.
You see, the word ‘MILF’ is short for a ‘Mother I’d Like To F*ck’, a term that over time achieved a reputation of being a man’s one of many strong sexual desires. And the reasons behind it have been studied to be many.
One, is an old and rather controversial Freudian theory - Oedipus Complex, that is defined as “a male child's unconscious desire for the exclusive love of his mother. This desire includes jealousy towards the father and the unconscious wish for that parent's death."
As gross as it sounds, it might just explain why this unconscious impulse of being sexually attracted to one’s own mother was subconsciously projected on someone else’s mom, because let's face it, that’s still better than giving wind to an incestuous fantasy.
Another reason, a more believable one, could be simply the fact that men find themselves attracted to an older and ergo experienced woman. Perhaps, it is the idea of being with someone who would know what she is doing in bed, that drives men towards the precipice of this fantasy, often making them wonder what it would be like to have sex with a friend’s mom or a neighbourhood woman they find extremely sexy.
People often think of sex as this biological process to have kids, or at least that’s the stance of society towards it. Which makes the idea of a man romancing a woman way older than him and beyond the capability of bearing a child, ‘shameful’.
However, let’s not forget that another major reason why people have sex is for pleasure. And turns out, MILFs, as per men, are pretty suited in delivering that kind of pleasure in bed.
At the same time, there is also a lot of debate on whether or not the fascination towards MILFs is generated from the fact that it is taboo and that people love to explore what is forbidden. Well, that and the fact that having sex with a MILF would mean a subtle role-reversal of who is in charge, which again, breaking the conventional standards of sex, is somewhat fascinating to a lot of men. In fact, anything that makes them a rebel and gives them a sense of defiance as well as pleasure, is a sure-shot formula for boosting their ego.
Most porn videos under the category show men to be in submissive roles like that of a student, an employee or simply a for-hire guy, playing to the fantasy where men wish women to take control of the situation and dominate them.
We are all somehow bound by our impulse to do something that is not warranted by society and MILFs fit right into this theory and how.
At the end of the day, it boils down to just how natural it is to get excited at the thought of having sex with an older woman, and perhaps it doesn’t have to be greeted with shame or guilt, but just like another fantasy that men have, that doesn’t make them a pervert - just a human.
