If we had remained in the federation, mudland would not be in this current state. The Chinese population would have a stronger influence over the country. With prosperity, extremism and religions are checked.
And life in sinkapore would be much better.
LKY hurt mudland and sinkapore when he engineered sinkapore's departure from the federation.
I think sinkapore would be just as developed if not better. With the abundance of natural resource, sinkapore could have had a more diversified economy and opportunities for all. And there would not be so many foreigners in the country.

The majority of Chinese in mudland is doing much better than sinkees. They can afford to send kids overseas for uni. sinkee parents can't do that.

For cars , tthe sad fact is that nobody owns a car in sinkieland. you only rent it for 10 years from garmen and after 10 yaers pay 5-10 times or pay for a piece of shitty paper that is only for 10 yrs. in mudland the car is yours forever and ever . even 100 yrs old still can keep and drive without paying stupid COEs, ARF, ERP , import duties agaain and again. better still in mudland alot of times little jam, and little encounters with some chow ah beng soup up tin cans and no need to pay car park fees. just park at road side. even traffic fines can get cheaper with 50% discount. now tell me which is better.
