PAP stands for elections in Malacca and wins. Wins Sabah, and Sarawak. Penang, Brunei joins the Federation. Peninsula and East Malaysia comes under PAP and the capital for Federation of Malaya moves to Singapore. With the Chinese and other races forming 50/50 in the Federation, and many malays converting to Christianity, the whole demographic profile of the Federation changes. Larger resource base, humongous manufacturing bases, the Federation outperforms all other S.E.A. countries and becomes the most prosperous Asian nation. That would have been LKY's vision.

Of course. It was just speculation. Anything could have happened. CSJ could be the one accused of sodomy and thrown in jail instead of Anwar. For all we know, LKY could be placed under house arrest by Tengku for political agitation and fled in exile to Cambodia, protected by his friend Sihanouk. And certainly the politics would be different. One thing for sure, he couldn't have so easily banned chewing gum with a more reactive population than that here in Singapore.

If we were part of the Federation, the Malays may never progress to where they are today & there will be an on going racial tension between the races. We are far better off, separated!.

while there you must ry their BBQ sotong garing really the best in town.
