I believe the W123 was the last reliable Merc.

I think some of the W210 models are solid, not the diesel versions.

This is hardly earth shattering news. It's the same results year in year out from various independent publications. Here's the results from Consumer Reports USA which I subscribe to.

I've always maintained that French cars are trash. Not one made the list, haha!

Alot of Nissan cars are based on Renault platform, since the company was acquired by Nissan. I believe the Latio engine and chassis is an original Renault design. But Nissan products are not bad, including the French influenced design.
