CSJ mocks the PAP ......................... again. 
The PAP has been sending out this email titled "Helping Singaporeans tackle inflation". It's like the arsonist telling you he's here to put out the fire.
Remember, Singapore's economy is effectively a centrally planned one.
From the moment you wake up and turn on the tap to brush your teeth to the time you have your plate of lunch to the hour that your kids come home from school, how you live your life and how much you pay for it is determined by the PAP.
So when it tells you that it will help tackle inflation, just remember these three letters - G, S, and T.
With the cost of living skyrocketing, it is going to increase everything that you by 1 more percent in a few weeks' time.

The SDP held a luncheon for opposition parties today to commemorate the opening of our new office at WCEGA Tower in Bukit Batok.
It was a rare but good occasion to get all the parties together and to look ahead and work for a better Singapore.
In attendance were 12 opposition parties including the Workers' Party, represented by MP Denis Tan, and the Progress Singapore Party, represented by Dr Tan Cheng Bock, Mr Leong Mun Wai, NCMP, and Ms Hazel Poa, NCMP.
We held a discussion after lunch which was meaningful and constructive and, judging by the tenor of the conversation, everyone seems hopeful for the next GE.
The SDP will continue to facilitate dialogue and cooperation among opposition parties in Singapore.

CSJ enjoys a day of futsal.
Organised by Young Democrats, SDP's much-loved futsal tournament, now known as the Manimaran Cup, was held on 27 January 2024 Saturday at Homeground Sports.
Last Saturday, we held our much-loved futsal tournament, now known as the Manimaran Cup, at Homeground Sports. The event saw 16 teams compete for the title trophy and cash prizes.
Group-stage matches were played over the course of the morning using the round-robin format, with points being accumulated for each win or draw. The 8 highest-ranked teams then advanced to the knock-out stage, which commenced after lunch. This stage was composed of the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, Bronze Medal Match, and the Final.
During the prize presentation ceremony, Manimaran Ashukumar’s wife, Priscilla, delivered a speech to thank the party, its partners, and participants for coming together to make the tournament a success.
A huge thank you to the community for supporting the Manimaran Cup 2024, and congratulations to the winning teams!

The Manimaran Cup was named in tribute to former SDP Central Executive Member and youth leader Manimaran Ashukumar, who passed away in 2023 at the age of 33. Mani was passionate about all things football as well as doing his best in service of making Singapore a better place.
The SDP aims to keep Mani's memory alive by bringing football/futsal lovers of different walks of life together and facilitating conversations on the sports scene in Singapore.
