Car workshop employee stumbles upon body in a bag

KUALA LUMPUR: A car workshop employee had the shock of his life when he stumbled upon the body of a teenage girl stuffed into a luggage bag along a riverbank near here. The man, in his 30s, was on his motorcycle when he spotted the bag which was behind his workshop in Ukay Perdana. Upon closer inspection, he saw the body of a girl clad in a blue dress.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Jalil Hassan said the man immediately informed the police at 3.30pm yesterday. “Her body was found in a foetal position with her knees touching her chest,” he told reporters at the scene. Police believed the victim was a foreigner and there were no visible injuries on the body.

“We found a piece of paper in the bag containing an Indonesian number but there are no identification documents,” he said, adding the victim had a tanned complexion. She was believed to have been dead a few hours before her body was found. The body had been sent to Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Hospital for a post-mortem.

Woman died of trauma to abdomen

KUALA LUMPUR: A woman whose body was found stuffed in a suitcase behind a car workshop in Ukay Perdana on Thursday died of severe trauma to the abdomen. The trauma on the victim, induced by being kicked or hit with a hard object, had caused her stomach to bleed profusely, said Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Jalil Hassan.

The woman also had bruises to the face, according to an autopsy report. ACP Jalil said three families had gone to Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre yesterday to identify the body of the woman who was in her 20s but she was not their family member.

She was not a local as there was no BCG vaccine jab on her arm, ACP Jalil said, adding that no arrests had been made so far in connection with the case. A workshop worker found the suitcase containing the fully-clothed body of the woman at 3.30pm on Thursday. A piece of paper with a name and overseas telephone number was found inside it.
