FOUR out of five COE premiums ended higher at the latest tender on Wednesday.

COE for cars up to 1,600cc climbed to $34,001, from $32,415 two weeks ago.

COE for cars above 1,600cc hit a seven-month high of $45,501 - from $44,600 previously.

Open COE, which can be used for any vehicle type but ends up mainly for cars, hit $46,001 - also at a seven-month high - from $44,900.

Commercial vehicle COE ended at $31,006, up from $30,511.

The premium for motorcycles was the exception. It closed at $1,452, down from $1,689 previously.

Motor traders said the traditional year-end spurt to meet sales targets had fuelled bidding. A number of new car launches in recent weeks also boosted sales.

I don't know what sinkie prices are now but I used to pay $2.50 to $3.00 for Fried rice for ONE and that was almost 20 years ago.

what is the ballpark price for a cup of kopi in nz? got 80c?

Filter coffee isn't very popular in NZ. Most people prefer expresso @ $2.50

Filter coffee is $2.00 but many places give unlimited refills.

What's the use of buying a nice and fast car in a country where everyone drives on cruise control? I'm not sure about NZ but Australia is definitely not the place i want to be. You can't even exceed your speed limit by 3%.

Car price in SG may be the most expensive in the world BUT:

1) In terms of net disposable wages, car is quite affordable.

2) We can own fast car in SG and blast them on Malaysian highway.
