In terms of ship repairs , marine expertise and supplies to those vessels anchored at the Eastern anchorage, Sinkapore companies are way ahead of their SEA counterparts in terms of service and quality. Just my 2 cents. The chicons could be building A mega port at the isthmus area and building pipelines from there to chicon land. Pipelines much easier than waterways. N oil tankers from the middle east just unload at thailand n move back to ME...the oil is tpt via pipelines to chicon land. That way vulnerable ships won't travel the straits of malacca. N shipping might b reduced n easing the congestion on the straits.
