Let's hope Wenger make drastic changes to the lineup to stop the rot. I read the loss made him physically sick and that says alot about the fragile state of the team.

I hope he drops Gallas, because he is past his prime. Slow. Yeah, he can score headers but he is slow..

I hope he drops Van Persie, because he is not the same RVP since his long injury last year. He seems to have lost his touch or his skills deserted him.

This 2 out, he would bring his team age down even lower. Since he likes young players, put them in. Once these 2 are dropped, the rest will wake up their idea.

as usual, Arsene starts to lament on Sunderland's negative play. He should spend time to think on how to break down negative play instead of complaining every season on teams playing negatively. Last time when Allardyce was at Bolton, Arsenal had difficulty in getting 3 points always.

Arsene forgotten 1 thing. Entertainment and Effectiveness. In order to win championships, you can entertain. But effectiveness is what counts and gets you the points. No point lambasting how other teams parked a bus, pass defensively. If you can't win, you don't get 3 points. period.:p

the gunners just can't defend corners or set pieces at the moment.....mayb itz the lack of a tall defender or a good goalkeeper tat could organise the wall properly when coming 2 free kicks or corner kicks......they will have 2 rectify this problem fast......

Keane Blasts Wenger's Young Guns
Sunderland manager Roy Keane has criticised Arsene Wenger's recruitment policy, insisting that the Arsenal manager is receiving far too many plaudits for the club's young superstars...
»Comments (1) Print This Story Send To A Friend Contact Us galleria zoom Many view the youth-development program at Ashburton Grove as a beacon in English football, the shining light that will forever be associated with Wenger's reign at Arsenal.

Few seem to be terribly bothered by the fact that the majority of young talent in the Gunners' ranks comes from abroad. Cesc Fabregas wasn't raised in Leytonstone, after all.

Keane is one of those bothered few, however, and he believes Wenger and co are taking all the credit for their prodigious tots despite doing very little work.

“The word on the street is they have a group of kids coming through that will be absolutely outstanding,” Keane said in The Sun.

“But you go on about the kids coming through but a lot of them have been bought from other clubs, not through the academy at Arsenal. It’s the same with Chelsea.”

David Bentley, Jermaine Pennant and Steve Sidwell are perhaps the pick of Wenger's home-grown crop. None made the grade at Arsenal, instead finding their niche in mid-table or relegation-threatened teams.

However, the next generation of native Gunners promises to be different - Jack Wilshere certainly looks the part, while the likes of Henri Lansbury and Kieran Gibbs have also been earmarked for success.

The situation is somewhat less rosy on Wearside, where Keane has been using the curiously Wengeresque method of plucking young talents from his homeland.

But the Irishman had an excused prepared: “We have tough battles up here in terms of signing young players and are restricted in terms of our location.

“You can only bring in kids from a certain radius and a lot of our radius is in the water. Any good fish out there?”

Sunderland's geographical handicap proved irrelevant at the weekend, as only Fabregas' last-gasp header prevented the Mackems from claiming all three points against Arsenal.

Tomas Rosicky's agent has denied that the Czech star's career may be over and maintains the latest recovery of the injury-prone Arsenal midfielder is "going according to the plan".

Rosicky, 28, has been beset by a series of injuries since his £7million move from Borussia Dortmund in May 2006 and reports had suggested his current problems were career-threatening, and required further direct medical treatments.

The midfielder limped out of the Premier League clash with Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium in January and has not featured since, also missing Euro 2008 because of the same hamstring-related problem which has had Arsene Wenger admitting he does not know when he can next field Rosicky.

"What appeared about Tomas being hospitalised in London is complete nonsense," Rosicky's representative Pavel Paska told Czech newspaper Denik Sport.

"Tomas, as part of his recovery scheme, visits the hospital for various therapies and the same happened last time.

"A sudden setback in his health or some headaches, as I have read about somewhere, have not happened to Tomas.

"Everything is going according to the plan. Tomas' first comeback was rash, now we are treating the situation more carefully."

Paska added: "The recovery will be long-term.

"The team of specialists that cares for Tomas, has been enlarged by another specialist which means the player will be cared for at the best level."

Arsenal duo Cesc Fabregas and Emmanuel Adebayor will no doubt take some stick until the next North London derby rolls around, having been quoted as making cocky remarks in the build-up to Wednesday night's grudge match.

Loaded magazine published an interview with midfield maestro Fabregas wherein he claimed that the Arsenal Ladies team would fare well against beleaguered Spurs. He apparently quipped: "They would do really well. I'm sure they would get a point!"

Togo forward Adebayor was also at it this week. He told talkSPORT that "every player feels sorry for Spurs because at the moment because they are really bad."

He also predicted that the Gunners would take revenge for the 5-1 Carling Cup humbling at White Hart Lane last season, saying: "We hope the result is the reverse and we can put a DVD in the Arsenal shop on Friday."

Things, of course, didn't quite go according to plan for the pair. The so-called 'Harry Redknapp factor' propelled the Lilywhites to an unlikely comeback.

They'd opened the scoring through David Bentley's DVD-worthy goal and, although Arsenal duly exploited the shaky home rearguard to roar ahead, two late, late goals from Jermaine Jenas and Aaron Lennon stunned the visitors.

Thus, the only DVDs Ade need be concerned with in the aftermath are The Great Escape and Mission Impossible.

In all seriousness, Arsene Wenger will know that his stars were overconfident. Spurs, considering that they'd already had a boost with Redknapp's arrival, would have been looking for extra motivation in the dressing room ahead of the derby and their rivals only fueled the fire.

After last night's defeat, I suspect Wenger will leave the Emirates soon. It's evident that the departure of Hleb n Flamini were too much for the club to handle.

The team is literally falling apart.

Hopefully against Stoke, is the wake up call.

When they lost against Fulham, Hull, they seemed to think it was just a blip. But with Stoke, I think it has droven the last nail into their coffin.
It is still too early to say the title is lost because there are at least another 20+ games and the leaders are about 6-7 points away only. Blips happen to any team, just how they react to it.

Making the gap tighter is better for the game as it goes down to the last day of the league.
I think next week is vs MU. So can the gunners be back?

They have not played the top 4 and oredi lost 3 to 'new' kids on the block. They don't have the character like some of the players in the past.

Don't know how many wakeup calls they need but the writing is on the wall. Another season to forget.

I've been an Arse fan for close to 20 yrs, and i seriously think Wenger is losing the plot. Come on, when we win, he purrs over the performance of the boys, and doesn't even say anything about hard play by the opposition. Now, when we lose, out comes the French cannon, shooting off at everyone except his own team. Come on Wenger, stand up to the fact that football now is not just about slick passing, brilliant one touch attacking play. To win any competition, we need to have physical ability together with what our boys have now. So please just accept the fact that week-in, week-out, the Gooners are going to face such strong-armed tactics, and find a way to counter it. Its not going to happen by shooting your mouth off, but rather going back to the training ground and gym and strengthening up our pussy players.

Look at people like Adebayor, Eboue (why is he still in the team???), falling down at the slightest touch. Adebayor looks physical enough for me, but he's a pansy...and Eboue, that guy couldn't even challenge a scarecrow to a fight of "who stands up the longest when the wind is blowing"...Come on Arsenal...i still love the team, and the style of football, but please show me that you guys are really growing up, and face up to the challenges that come your way.
