7 nabbed for robberies
<!-- by line --> <!-- end by line --> SEVEN suspects have been arrested for committing two robberies in Yishun and Ang Mo Kio. The two cases of robbery with hurt took place in Yishun Avenue 6 between Monday and Tuesday. Police believed the culprits, aged between 15 and 23 years, were linked to both cases. Officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division, through extensive ground work and probes, managed to establish the identity of one of the suspects.
On Thursday at about 2.30 pm, a raid was carried out at Yishun and two of the culprits were nabbed. Following up on their arrests, the officers mounted simultaneous raids at various locations in Yishun and Ang Mo Kio on Thursday and early Friday and rounded up five others. A stolen handphone belonging to one of the victims had since been recovered. The suspects will be charged in court on Saturday.
