Nee Soon voters voted in ex-malaysian Lee Bee Wah aka jamban lady what. Come to think of it, 2 of my former colleagues who are ex-malaysians in their 40s live in that estate. Perhaps a good move by WP? We will know in a week's time.
PAP has no problems with ex malaysians

I think Singaporeans have been nurtured since young to like foreigners from a long time ago, starting with msians. We study with them, treat them no difference and are friends.

It is not that Singaporeans dislike foreigners but the attitude of the foreigners in recent years that made Singaporeans to dislike them now.

Everybody remembers Amy Chong, the NTUC PR Director who ran off to Perth after expressing an inappropriate comment on a Malay wedding. I think there is a lot of dissatisfaction from all quarters regarding malaysians who do not share our unique brand of ethnic and religious tolerance because they did not grow up here. It doesn't help that they have become increasingly clannish in the job market over the years. The worst among them are thugs of the PAP. They behave no differently from any other FTs now, maybe worse owing to the fact that they are mostly indistinguishable from ordinary chinese singaporeans at first glance.

The funny thing about Amy Chong commenting on holding wedding in void deck and not hotel is I realised the msian chinese love holding wedding in their own front porch too. I have seen at least three weddings in one year in my Jb house. They really don't know how to look themselves in the mirror before putting down others.

Both you and mojito are dead wrong!

Last time during the 1980s already got many s'poreans dislike the malaysians foreign workers/FTs working in s'pore.

It is just that

1) last time 1980s no internet, no social media, hence people do not know the actual extent of the wide-scale displeasure of s'poreans that dislike malaysians snatching s'poreans's rice-bowl in spore.

2)In the late 70s to 1980s, the political climate in s'pore is very different from now. During that time 99.99% of s'poreans do not dare to openly voice their disapproval of the large numbers of malaysians foreign workers coming to work in s'pore. During that time, sporeans do not dare to openly question the policy of having large numbers of malaysians to come work in spore. But even then, I remembered very clearly in the 1985-1986 s'pore's recession also got some daring s'poreans wrote in to the newspapers forums to express strong disapproval of the large numbers of malaysians working in s'pore during the recession.

3)Another main reason is becos estimate there are about 20% of s'poreans that have close relatives or spouses that are malaysians hence these group of selfish people due to their own selfish vested interests of having malaysian spouse or close relatives, they kept biasedly saying malaysians have been working in spore for long time nonsense blah blah blah. But they totally forget and ignore the fact that the malaysians of the 1960s that came to work in spore their attitude is totally different from those malaysians that came to spore to work in the recent past 2 decades, many malaysians FTs/foreign workers are very arrogant, ungrateful and have bad attitude.

4)But even then, During the 1970s to 1980s there are many s'poreans in certain specific jobs/industries that very strongly dislike malaysians foreign workers/FTs, example, sporeans that were renovation contractors, hairdressing line, beautician line, small garment business owners, becos their businesses and profits were unfairly undercut by many unlicensed malaysians working in spore during that time.

5)there were also many crimes commited by malaysians foreign workers in s'pore during the 1970s to 1980s, 1 of the more widely-reported cases is the 1989 gang-rape case whereby 7 to 8 malaysian-chinese work-permit holders ambushed a young sporean couple at the beach, severely assaulted the sporean guy, tied him up and made him watch all 7 of them gang-rape his girlfriend.

6)In the 1970s to 1980s, It is also well-known that many malaysian bargirls, hostesses, hairdressers, mistresses broke up s'poreans's families. During those 2 decades can say 90% of kept mistresses in spore are malaysian women.

7)Actually, frankly speaking, of all the various countries FTs working in spore, it is the malaysians FTs/foreign workers that cause the most damage to sporeans's rice-bowl/livelihood, NOT the Pinoy, PRC or India FT.

Becos malaysians FTs/foreign workers are found in ALL sectors/ALL jobs in spore from the lowest cleaners/hawker dish-washers to mid-level professionals to whatever-kind-of-job-you-name-it-in-spore, also you can find malaysians FTs working in them.(some people say even our s'pore's district judge also have malaysian citizen)

Whereas there are still many jobs in spore or certain sectors in s'pore which you will never find a Pinoy, PRC or India FT working in them.

Yes I agree with you that many Singaporeans don't understand that those msians that came to Spore fifty years ago are totally different attitude from those that came in the last decade. The younger ones grew up in relative wealth, under a boleh culture and are generally lawless and arrogant. People who have worked with them or live in close proximity will know the truth.
