joetys - what, in your opinion, is the best seafood restaurant in BKK in terms of food and ambience? Somewhere easily accessible from the Ratchaprasong area. I need to take a guest and his family out for dinner soon. Thanks bud.

An old time favourite and trusted seafood restaurant is Laem Charoen started in Rayong seaside but now has many branches. There's one in CentralWorld check this out http://laemcharoenseafood.com/ourbranch/

This afternoon lunch at the famous khao kha mu in Muang Thong Thani. I'm not a fan of this dish so I shall comment however this shop has many fans in Bangkok.

Just finished marketing in Ying Chareon wet market its almost 10am and having kway chap breakfast

There are many differences with Singapore's version Thai version

1. comes everything in a bowl
2. pork comes as crispy pork as in shiobak rather than braised lohbak
3. noodle comes as curled, see 2nd photo below, instead of flat however I was told by old timer Singaporeans that Singapore used to use curled with is the original
4. taste obviously is different la here's to the sweet side
5. as I don't eat organs I cannot comment

Price starts at 30 baht ($1.25) but special like the bowl I'm having is 35 baht ($1.45). Ok you all have a great Sunday.

Reporting from Bangkok, sawasdee krup.

A video of Ying Chareon market first part shows the hawker centre then the actual market. I estimate this market covers slightly more than 1 football field excluding the 3 carparks.
