Favourite dish to order when my wife goes to Isaan restaurant is kob-yang with khao-jee and of course nam-jeem-jiao

Yes, kob is the word. There was also once my PRC GF then living in Singapore with me, boasted to my mom that she could make the same frog porridge or better than Victoria or Geylang. My mom let let try, brought her to wet market to buy the frogs. The result, we all surrender Nothing Victoria or Geylang could comapre.

The scary part of afterthought was, if a PRC, Viet or Thai girl knows how to skin animals with cheap unbranded knives, be careful with them. Frank advice. Treat her nicely and if time comes to retreat, retreat nicely. If you're nice enough, she'd accept nicely too. Don't end up on Shin Min or Wanbao frontpage.

Joetys, really thanks for reverting back to your good old frog avatar. There was once I told my Thai GF that there's good frog porridge in Singapore. One fine day, she came back from the wet market with four live frogs. I was stunned, what the hell are you going to do with them, do you really know what the hell to do with them? She said porridge would take too long. She slaughtered and skinned them cleanly for a braised fry to go with rice better than anything from Golden Mile to Geylang Serai.

speaking of frog porriage i had one thai pal visit and she told me she loved the frog porriage in sg and i was stunned obviously, i'm 100% sure they have that in thailand and she told me sg's frog porriage is better which obviously surprised me cos i doubt sg can beat thailand when it comes to food.

We all use the same term to refer to soggy cocked rice as porridge. The exact terms are porridge and congee. Porridge for Canto style congee and porridge for Teocheow style porridge. Chok v. Bei. You don't have to trust me, just go and cook up a Canto congee and a Teochew congee. See for yourself how long each takes.

Bro, the lump of flesh on her hips suggests that she is a mother leh. Got carry out intelligence or not ?

bro chon why is she surrounded by a bunch of white guys? Is she one of the many hookers in pattaya?

Bro, don't let loose description like this leh. She is ChFC's dream girl leh.

Well, we shall wait for further intelligence from ChFC, whether she is really a MILF.

Opps sorry sia but seriously why are there a bunch of white guys around her like that? Pattaya has too many of those types around not really a good place to hunt for women.

This is ChFc's territory.
Morning guys.

Hehehe. My neighbour pics generate quite some response. Her family owns the place. Upstair is hotel and downstair is pub/restaurant/snack shop. The pics shows Russian customers renting a motorcycle. Hehehe. Think she can only qualify MILF 10 years later.

My office is along the same stretch of road and so we are neighbors. Have been here for more than 2 years and glad to say this place has 'Kampong Spirit' and most of the shop owners know each other including the motorcycle taxis and matas. There is a large Russian community living in this area and they will eat the same food as the locals.

In Sin City, no one will even care if you are a hooker or foreigner or whatever. But they will 'care' if your wallet don't have the money.

Jah, actually the Frog leg porridge in SG is also overrated and expensive. The only thing that makes it tasty is the dark sauce gravy which has a lot of ginger. I remember during my younger days, there is no such thing as frog porridge, only frog leg porridge.

Cooked Rice with Soup is know as Khao Tom. Congee also known as Khao Tom. But as with SG, LOS also follow same style, if you order Khao Tom Pla/Talay, it will be cooked rice with soup. If you order from Teochew style porridge, it will be Congee.

Congee is more difficult to cook cos' need to keep stirring to prevent the base from overcooking or burnt.

OK, responding to the post on burglary problems in LOS from another thread. Generally, everywhere is safe even in Sin City unless you wear a T-shirt with the words, "I am a walking ATM!".

And for home, you will need to have some basic deterence like CCTV, iron gates and maybe, even some hints to the potential thief that the owners known people who can nail the thieves.

Why you all so confusing when something like this is so simple and straight forward.

Khao Tom = Soup+Rice = name is Boiled Rice = 泡饭

Jok = Congee the sticky stuff = 粥

Thanks melzp. I have a mental problem that I have to admit. I don't like to go Buriram or anything or anyone that's got to do with Buriram. Same problem with banning myself from having any songs or album of Carabao and Bodyslam. Also some other things too. Its a mental problem. But I will take note of your suggestion because I do pass by Buriram whenever I visit Surin like last month. Thanks.
