These fresh charges come on top of 11 charges made against him last week — also for allegedly falsifying documents — and the prosecution today (Nov 5) argued that Yang should not be granted bail as there was “very high risk that the accused will abscond from the jurisdiction”.
The prosecution also revealed that investigations on whether Yang submitted financial statements based on his allegedly falsified receipts to the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) have been completed, and papers on these potential offences have been submitted to the Attorney-General’s Chambers.
