just heard from a friend in the lawyers circle about Terence Tan and that there might be some backgrond about him which may be interesting. so far only knows that he comes froma very privileged background (aka rich kid) and never really practiced law when he graduated. this guy is no veteran lawyer because he is not really known by his peers for hs work and did not practice till a few years ago. i heard it is because he was busy setting up this joint called the Hu'u bar in the old SJI premises which quickly shut down in the 90s then was moved to Bali. Surprising that someone like him would want to be in the WP and serve the people. sure sounds like he is someone who has an axe to grind w the PAP with his "shouty" speech.
