Agree it is a ploy. I think it was badly planned and executed. Sadly the son of Devan Nair has also shown his hand despite taking a public sector salary.

If you ask me I think the TC role was a ploy not just to tie down just the opposition but to keep the ordinary PAP MPs themselves busy so that they do not have that much time to ponder the workings of the inner circle.

Netizens have been asking if this duo role of Mr Ho may have led to a possible conflict of interest. Besides Jurong, UGL Premas Limited manages Marine Parade, West Coast and Hong Kah Town Councils as well.

Mr Ho first came into public spotlight when he sacked an opposition supporter purportedly for ‘poor performance’ one day after she was spotted by fellow colleagues selling merchandise at an opposition rally.

It turns out that Mr Ho is also the PAP branch secretary of Bukit Batok East.

Another possible case of conflict of interest involves Aljunied Town Council which is managed by CPG Facilities Management. The General Manager of Aljunied Town Council Mr Jeffrey Chua is also the Managing Director of CPF Facilities Management. It is not known if he is a PAP member as well.

It is a common knowledge that grassroots organizations and Town Councils have long been politicized to become ‘political tools’ of the PAP regime.

PAP branch secretaries often wear many hats at the grassroots levels – some hold multiple positions such as Chairman of Community Clubs, Town Council managers and Chairman of Citizen Consultative Committees at the same time.

According to PAP strongman Lee Kuan Yew, all grassroots organizations such as CCs, CCCs and RCs are ‘part of the PAP.’

I don't suppose you realize it yet that the crux of the issue is the way AIMS was awarded wasn't just about PAP awarding the contract to their members, but also became an operation issue at the loss to the people, whereas the existence of FMSS is not going to make an iota of difference to the existence and power of the PAP or the people who voted PAP, although it was used by the PAP as an issue.

This is the fact: PAP has access to all these big facilities management companies to run their TCs, all of which are either directly owned or majority partnered by PAP members or associates.

WP does not have this kind of network with which to rely on. That's the whole difference. You want to compare apples and oranges.

I am sure many people appreciated the discussions on various community and national issues. I recall others joined in as well and some went on to start their own blogs.

Many people start to point laughable and funny accusations at me of being "PAP agent" and what not... haha... only Locke got it right, I am only happy if people in their mudslinging, trying to defend the indefensible acts of immorality, dig each other dirt out in the open!

There is nothing to stop you from developing your own vision and your own team to make multi-party a reality. Surely WP cannot be held responsible for your or any person's limitation.

I am sure you are not suggesting that the popular char kway teow hawker with a snaking queues is stifling your fish ball noodles business. Instead of constantly harping to your customers about the "unethical" rival maybe you can up your cuisine, smile more and tell them how fish ball noodles are much more healthy.
