SINGAPORE : The world's best competitive eaters swept into town to show just how the pros do it - with shrimp wontons!
While the top eaters are more accustomed to wolfing down hot dogs, they got down to business quickly, taking on the slippery wontons in between gulps of water.
In the end, world number one, Joey Chestnut, showed why he's champ, swallowing a whopping 380 wontons in eight minutes.
His long-time rival, Japan's Takeru Kobayashi, came close with 370 wontons.
Singapore's Ng Chin Sheng, topped the local category with 115 wontons.
World number two female, Juliet Lee, also swept the all-female round, tossing back 160 wontons, more than twice her closest competitor.
The event was organised by CP Foods. - CNA /ls
