In my perspective, there are 3 kinds of oppies.

1. Using opposition as the name to enter parliament to get the salary. Means more for status and money.

2. Oppose truly for the good of the cuntries and same time for money.

3. The trouble makers cum pap moles knowing they have no chance to get the money as mp but they get paid by pap secretly.

Generally money still on the priority for opposing.

In my another perspective, having a few more oppies in the parliament isn't going to help with the policies made by the gov. In other words no difference having them or not. Of course it will make the pap gov life more difficult but that isn't going to change anything. The end leesult will still be the same.

In other words, an erection is a complete waste of time and money and a better way is to use it on the poor as charity.

For oppie party like Par.
Their objective is very clear.
They want to have status and money, and at the same time they plan to take the money from a certain way to Lee leestribute it in another way, therefore they can promote free Healthcare and education for all sinkies.

Very stupid party aka LPPL

I therefore can draw a VERY confident conclusion.

ALL OPPIES PARTIES ARE FAKE OPPIES AS A PARTY
HOWEVER WITHIN THE FAKE PARTIES ITSELF , THERE COULD BE GENUINE INDIVIDUALS, WHO ARE LEELEE KEEN TO MAKE SINKIES A BETTER LIFE.
I SMELL LMW IS ONE OF THEM. OR PERHAPS HE MOST PROBABLY IS THE ONLY ONE AMONG ALL

CSJ APPEAR TO BE ONE BUT SORLEE
NOPE HE IS DOING IT FOR HIMSELF.

Sinkie retards only want opposition that is similar to PAP not those aggressive type like old school JB Jeyaretnam or Lim Tean, if PSP and SDP and WP can win most of the areas they contest then only sinkies got hope, otherwise prepare to die with overwhelming foreign trash. Good luck.

By giving the pap.a walkover....it's obvious that the wankers is complying with pap directives...

GE2025: Last-minute switches, surprises galore on Nomination Day
The People’s Action Party shifted some of its big guns around and left the opposition parties guessing until the eleventh hour on its final slates. The Workers’ Party also sprung unexpected moves.

SINGAPORE: The race for the 2025 General Election kicked off in earnest on Wednesday (Apr 23), living up to its billing as one of Singapore’s most keenly contested elections after a Nomination Day chock-full of surprises. This was largely due to last-minute tactical manoeuvering by the ruling People’s Action Party (PAP).

The PAP moved some of its big guns around while leaving the opposition parties guessing till the eleventh hour whether Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat and Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean would be fielded. In the end, both were not.

The Workers’ Party also did the unexpected by moving former Aljunied Group Representation Constituency (GRC) Member of Parliament Faisal Manap to lead its Tampines GRC team. Prominent new face Harpreet Singh was fielded in the new Punggol GRC, while the party turned to an old hand, former Non-Constituency MP Yee Jenn Jong, to lead its campaign in East Coast GRC.

It also made a surprise move not to contest in Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC, handing PAP a walkover in the five-member GRC.

After the dust settled on an eventful and rainy Nomination Day, this was the picture that emerged:

A total of 92 out of 97 seats will be contested
There will be five multi-cornered fights, a high since GE1991 which had the same number of such contests
Among these, four parties will slug it out in Tampines GRC - the last time there was a four-cornered fight in a GE was back in 1997
There will be two independent candidates in Radin Mas Single Member Constituency (SMC) and Mountbatten SMC
Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC was a walkover for PAP after a no-contest, the first in a GE since 2011
Manpower Minister Tan See Leng was the anchor minister for Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC in the last GE and was expected to lead the PAP’s charge there again. Even he had expected to do so, until just hours before the nomination proceedings.

Dr Tan told the media that he was informed on Wednesday morning that he would be redeployed in Chua Chu Kang GRC. Dr Tan replaced Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong who moved to Punggol GRC to fend off the WP challenge.

Speaking to the media, DPM Gan said that “plans are always made depending on availability of candidates; we always need to make adjustments”.

WP EXPLAINS NO-SHOW IN MARINE PARADE-BRADDELL HEIGHTS GRC
Soon after a walkover was declared in Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC, WP put up on Facebook a statement by party chief Pritam Singh on the “very difficult decision” not to contest there.

In the last GE in 2020, a WP team led by Mr Yee contested what was then Marine Parade GRC, garnering 42.26 per cent of the vote against PAP's 57.74 per cent.

Referring to the redrawn electoral boundaries for the GRC that saw the absorption of Macpherson SMC and other changes, Mr Singh said: "As a small opposition party, we are constantly faced with difficult choices about where and how best to deploy our limited resources, particularly after electoral boundaries are redrawn.

"After much reflection and careful consideration, we have determined that in order to continue fighting for the principles and changes we all believe in, and to give our candidates the best chance of electoral success, the party must focus its best efforts this GE on a smaller number of constituencies than we would have hoped to contest."

Speaking to reporters later, the WP chief was asked whether the decision was a miscalculation given that it gave the PAP a walkover.

In response, Mr Singh said: “I'm sure the PAP was watching who was going to Marine Parade as well, so these decisions also were taken, as you would have realised, over the hour between nomination opening and nomination closing.”

He added: “So, it's not a case as if everyone knew in advance that the PAP would field … I'm not going to say it's a weakened slate because there are no such thing as weak candidates in my view.

"It’s going to be a very tough election for us. I'm sure they were watching where we were going, but this is what we've decided to do.”

Listen:
WHERE THE MULTI-CORNERED FIGHTS ARE
In contrast to the walkover in Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC, five other constituencies will be intensely fought by more than two parties.

Tampines GRC will be the battleground of a four-way contest among PAP, WP, People’s Power Party and National Solidarity Party (NSP).

Over in Sembawang GRC, PAP will be in a three-way tussle with NSP and Singapore Democratic Party (SDP), while in Ang Mo Kio GRC, PAP will face off against PPP and Singapore United Party.

Two single-seat wards will also see three-way fights: Potong Pasir and Radin Mas.

In Potong Pasir, PAP’s Alex Yeo will be up against PAR chief Lim Tean and SPP’s Williiamson Lee.

The Radin Mas contest will feature independent candidate Darryl Lo against PAP’s Melvin Yong and the People’s Alliance for Reform’s Kumar Appavoo.

Mr Lo is one of two independent candidates who have tossed their names in the hat this General Election. The other is Mr Jeremy Tan, who will mount a challenge against PAP candidate Gho Sze Kee in Mountbatten.

With their successful nominations, all parties and candidates now enter the official campaign period, which will last for nine days.

If This BS explanation by the Bayi does not prove that the wankers are duds...and pap supporters...than wankers party supporters are just retards..

GE2025: PAP clinches Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC in first walkover since 2011

SINGAPORE: The People's Action Party (PAP) has clinched the electoral contest at Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC after a walkover on Wednesday (Apr 23).

The only candidates to submit their nomination papers at Kong Hwa School for the newly formed GRC were the ruling party's slate of Speaker of Parliament Seah Kian Peng, former MacPherson SMC MP Tin Pei Ling, Minister of State for Home Affairs and National Development Faishal Ibrahim as well as new faces Goh Pei Ming and Diana Pang.

This is the first walkover at a General Election since 2011.

In a surprise move, PAP’s Manpower Minister Tan See Leng did not turn up at the nomination centre, and was fielded at Chua Chu Kang GRC instead.

The party had on Sunday announced its five-member team for the constituency, with Dr Tan slated to anchor the quartet of Mr Faishal, Mr Seah, Ms Tin and Ms Pang.

A few Workers' Party (WP) new faces including Jeraldine Phneah and Linda Low were spotted at the nomination centre on Wednesday, but they did not submit their nomination papers.

Mr Seah said the lack of a contest came as a surprise.

“Were we surprised? I would say yes, because it's been some time since this place ever had a walkover,” said Mr Seah.

“But walkover or not, our heart and our mission and our goals remain unchanged, which is to do our best to serve and make lives better for our residents.”

He added that the team will miss Dr Tan.

"For all of us, we are here to serve. Where the party needs us, wherever, whichever constituency, we will be there," he added.

"Dr Tan is a good doctor but he is also a good soldier and a good leader, and he goes where he is asked."

In a Facebook post on Wednesday afternoon, WP said it was a "very difficult decision" not to contest the redrawn Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC, adding that it must focus its best efforts on a smaller number of constituencies.

"As a small opposition party, we are constantly faced with difficult choices about where and how best to deploy our limited resources, particularly after electoral boundaries are redrawn," WP chief Pritam Singh said.

Thanking voters, Mr Singh said he hopes for continuing support for the Workers' Party in this election.

"The Workers’ Party aims to restart our outreach in Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC after GE2025," he added.

PPP’s Derrick Sim questions if WP is a ‘mole party’ over decision not to contest Marine Parade GRC

PPP’s Derrick Sim accuses WP of ‘letting in 5 seats even before the contest starts’ by not contesting Marine Parade GRC

The Workers’ Party’s (WP) decision not to contest Marine Parade-Braddell Heights group representation constituency (GRC) has surprised many Singaporeans, including Derrick Sim of the People’s Power Party (PPP).

On Wednesday (23 April), just after the conclusion of the GE2025 nomination process, Mr Sim expressed his shock over WP’s move, which resulted in a walkover for the People’s Action Party (PAP) candidates.

Mr Sim, who is running for Tampines GRC as one of PPP’s candidates, went as far as to question whether WP was “a controlled opposition or a mole party”.

Shock over WP’s withdrawal from Marine Parade GRC

In his Facebook post, Mr Sim shared how he couldn’t believe the news when he first heard that WP had pulled out of Marine Parade GRC, effectively giving the PAP candidates a walkover.

He stated that his team was “dumbfounded” and that even the PAP candidates appeared “visibly shocked”.

WP had contested Marine Parade for the past two elections, and many had expected it to continue in GE2025.

However, on Nomination Day, WP announced it would not contest the Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC, opting instead to field candidates in Tampines GRC — a constituency it had never contested before.

This shift led to a four-cornered contest involving the PAP, WP, PPP, and the National Solidarity Party (NSP).

WP Tampines GRC

Mr Sim questioned WP’s decision, highlighting that the party had been active in Marine Parade for over a decade, walking the ground regularly.

By contrast, WP had never contested Tampines GRC since its formation 37 years ago.

As Tampines GRC gears up for its first four-cornered fight, Mr Sim accused WP of “letting in five seats even before the contest starts”, referring to the unchallenged PAP slate in Marine Parade GRC.

Goh Meng Seng slams WP’s move

In another post, PPP leader Goh Meng Seng sharply criticised WP’s decision, calling it “irresponsible”.

Mr Goh accused WP of depriving Marine Parade residents of their right to vote, adding that PPP would have gladly contested the constituency if WP had informed them of its withdrawal in advance.

He also accused WP of being a “LAST MINUTE SPOILER PARTY that is willing to sacrifice 130K voters’ right in Marine Parade just to get into a FOUR CORNER FIGHT (sic)”.

“Voters of Tampines must decide to weigh carefully on whether they will be ABANDONED again by WP in next GE and left them without the opportunity to exercise their voting rights!” he warned.

Pritam Singh say WP has to focus on smaller number of constituencies in GE2025

WP chief Pritam Singh has since released a statement explaining the “difficult decision” that his “small opposition party” had to make for the upcoming general election.

pritam-singh-wp.png

Mr Singh clarified that WP is focusing its efforts on a smaller number of constituencies in order to give its candidates the “best chance of electoral success”.

He also took the opportunity to thank Marine Parade residents for their years of support and encouragement.

Although WP will not contest Marine Parade in GE2025, Mr Singh assured that the party’s outreach efforts in the constituency will resume after the elections.

Here are the candidates contesting Tampines GRC:

  • PAP: Baey Yam Keng, Charlene Chen, David Neo, Koh Poh Koon, Masagos Zulkifli
  • WP: Eileen Chong, Faisal Manap, Jimmy Tan, Michael Thng, Ong Lue Ping
  • PPP: Arbaah Haroun, Derrick Sim, Goh Meng Seng, Peter Soh, Vere Nathan
  • NSP: Eugene Yeo, Mohd Ridzwan Mohammad, Reno Fong, Thamilselvan Karuppaya

Workers Party has been walking the grounds of Marine Parade to give fellow Opposition Parties the illusion that they will be contesting there.

Out of respect for their strong presence there, the other opposition parties did not go there.

WP did not care. They thought only for themselves. This is IRRESPONSIBLE. Pritiam Singh does not deserve the title of Leader of the Opposition.

A Leader of the Opposition is not a title given by the PM. It should be a title given by all Opposition Parties and supporters and Pritiam does not deserve this.
